Whatever your task at hand -- whether it's launching that boat before daybreak, setting up your camper before the rush or getting a final load to the dump before close -- CURT class 3 trailer hitches offer the strength needed for serious towing. They make it easy to hitch up and Bring It, offering a vehicle-specific fit and the weight capacity to handle a variety of trailers. Custom class 3 hitches are the most common type of receiver hitch for pickup trucks and SUVs. Because of their weight range, they are also found on full-size cars, crossovers and minivans. Each custom-fit class 3 hitch package is made for vehicle-specific mounting. This particular kit fits certain years of the Buick Envision (see application info to verify vehicle compatibility). It provides a weight carrying capacity of 2,000 lbs. GTW and 200 lbs. TW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. To ensure that CURT class 3 receiver hitches have what it takes for serious trailering, they are designed using a hands-on approach and are constructed with rugged, high-strength steel and precise welding. We also protect our class 3 hitches in a co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and black powder coat for superior resistance to rust, chipping and UV damage.
Trailer hitch weight ratings are limited to vehicle manufacturer's stated capacities
Not compatible for use with vertical hanging bicycles (bike racks that require the bicycles to be hung / mounted vertically)

The 2021-2022 Buick Envision All CURT Class 3 Trailer Hitch, 2" Receiver + 2" Ball + 1-7/8" Ball Kit (Part #CHD-13479-001) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
Gross trailer weight (GTW) is 2,000 lbs. and tongue weight (TW) is 200 lbs.
Ratchet, 11/16" socket, 6" socket extension, torque wrench, four 7/16" fishwires, and safety glasses. A tools reference guide is available at curtmfg.com/trailer-hitch-installation.
All hardware must be torqued to 59 ft-lbs.
Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity. Safety glasses must be worn at all times during installation.
Yes. The installation requires fishwiring to install hardware through the vehicle frame rails. Four 7/16" fishwires are included.
Periodic inspection of the trailer hitch should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight and structural components are secure.
The package includes four carriage bolts (7/16"-14 x 1-1/2", grade 8), four spacers (1/4" x 7/8" x 2-1/4"), four serrated-flange nuts (7/16"-14), and four fishwires (7/16").
The installation difficulty is rated as Easy. Installation difficulty levels are based on time and effort involved and may vary depending on the installer's level of expertise, condition of the vehicle, and proper tools and equipment.
Insert the coiled end of the fishwire tool through the hitch mounting hole in the vehicle frame rail and out the access hole. Pass the coiled end through the spacer and thread the bolt into the coil. Kink the wire to keep the spacer separate from the bolt. Pull the fishwire, spacer, and bolt through the frame and out the mounting hole. The fishwire guides the hitch during mounting and prevents loss of the bolt or spacer inside the frame rail.
Step 1: Fishwire a 7/16" carriage bolt and a spacer into the access hole and out each mounting hole of each frame rail. Leave the fishwires attached. Step 2: Guide the fishwires through the mounting holes of the trailer hitch and raise it into position. Remove the fishwires and loosely secure with 7/16" serrated-flange nuts. Step 3: Torque all hardware to 59 ft-lbs.
The fishwires should be removed after the hitch is raised into position and before loosely securing it with the serrated-flange nuts. Step 2 states: "Guide the fishwires through the mounting holes of the trailer hitch and raise it into position. Remove the fishwires and loosely secure with 7/16" serrated-flange nuts."
Yes. In Step 2, the serrated-flange nuts are loosely secured after the fishwires are removed and the hitch is raised into position. The hardware is then torqued to the final specification of 59 ft-lbs in Step 3.
An 11/16" socket is required, along with a 6" socket extension and a ratchet.
Four carriage bolts, 7/16"-14 x 1-1/2", grade 8 are used. These are installed through the vehicle frame rails using the fishwire technique.
Four spacers, 1/4" x 7/8" x 2-1/4", are used. Each spacer is threaded onto a fishwire and then onto a carriage bolt during installation.
Four serrated-flange nuts, 7/16"-14, are used to secure the carriage bolts. These are torqued to 59 ft-lbs.
Safety glasses should be worn at all times while installing this product to protect against potential hazards during the installation process.
Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity. The hitch itself has a gross trailer weight capacity of 2,000 lbs. and tongue weight capacity of 200 lbs., but you must also comply with your vehicle manufacturer's towing limits, whichever is lower.
Periodic inspection of the trailer hitch should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight and structural components are secure. The manual does not specify the exact interval for these inspections.
