Custom class 3 hitches are the most common type of receiver hitch for pickup trucks and SUVs. Because of their weight range, they are also found on full-size cars, crossovers and minivans. Each custom-fit class 3 hitch package is made for vehicle-specific mounting. This particular kit fits certain years of the Toyota Grand Highlander, Lexus TX 350, TX 500h, and TX 500h+ (see application info to verify vehicle compatibility). It provides a weight carrying capacity of 5,000 lbs. GTW and 500 lbs. TW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. To ensure that CURT class 3 receiver hitches have what it takes for serious trailering, they are designed using a hands-on approach and are constructed with rugged, high-strength steel and precise welding. We also protect our class 3 hitches in a co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and black powder coat for superior resistance to rust, chipping and UV damage.

The 13519 has a gross trailer weight (GTW) capacity of 5,000 lbs and a tongue weight (TW) capacity of 500 lbs. Never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity.
The kit includes 4 hex bolts (M12) and 4 conical-toothed washers (1/2"). These fasteners are used to secure the hitch to the vehicle frame weldnuts.

Yes. Use a flathead screwdriver to remove the two plastic weldnut plugs on the outer side of the frame rail on both sides of the vehicle. Return the plugs to the vehicle owner after installation.
To remove debris from weldnuts in the frame, spray lubricant or compressed air into the hole. For heavy debris, use a wire brush. Take care not to damage the threads.
1. Remove the two plastic weldnut plugs from the frame rails using a flathead screwdriver. 2. Raise the hitch into position and align the mounting holes with the weldnuts in the frame. 3. Loosely install the hex bolts and conical-toothed washers. 4. Torque all hardware to 86 ft-lbs.
Yes. Loosely install the supplied hex bolts and conical-toothed washers first to align the hitch properly with the frame weldnuts. Only after alignment is complete should you torque all hardware to the final specification of 86 ft-lbs.
All hardware on the 13519 must be torqued to 86 ft-lbs.
The hitch uses four M12 hex bolts to secure it to the vehicle frame weldnuts.
The hitch uses four 1/2" conical-toothed washers. These washers must be oriented correctly under the bolt heads to ensure proper clamping force.
The conical-toothed washers must be installed with the toothed side facing the hitch side plate. The assembly diagram on page 2 shows the correct orientation: the washer sits between the hex bolt head and the hitch mounting surface.
Safety glasses must be worn at all times while installing this product. Additionally, never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity when using the hitch.
Periodic inspection of the trailer hitch should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight and structural components are secure. This helps prevent damage to the product and vehicle.
