Whatever your task at hand -- whether it's launching that boat before daybreak, setting up your camper before the rush or getting a final load to the dump before close -- CURT class 3 trailer hitches offer the strength needed for serious towing. They make it easy to hitch up and Bring It, offering a vehicle-specific fit and the weight capacity to handle a variety of trailers. Custom class 3 hitches are the most common type of receiver hitch for pickup trucks and SUVs. Because of their weight range, they are also found on full-size cars, crossovers and minivans. Each custom-fit class 3 hitch package is made for vehicle-specific mounting. This particular kit fits certain years of the Ford F-150 (see application info to verify vehicle compatibility). It provides a weight carrying capacity of 6,000 lbs. GTW and 900 lbs. TW. It is also compatible with a weight distribution hitch for level towing and a rating of 10,000 lbs. WD and 1,000 lbs. WDTW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. To ensure that CURT class 3 receiver hitches have what it takes for serious trailering, they are designed using a hands-on approach and are constructed with rugged, high-strength steel and precise welding. We also protect our class 3 hitches in a co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and black powder coat for superior resistance to rust, chipping and UV damage.
CURT custom wiring connectors are the easiest way to outfit your vehicle with a CURT trailer wiring connection. They are built with some of the most advanced technology in the industry, and each one is custom-fitted to work with a specific make and model. Some automotive manufacturers install a special socket on the vehicle to be used for vehicle-to-trailer wiring. Although this special socket is not equipped on every vehicle, a CURT custom wiring connector -- also called a T-connector -- utilizes the socket for simple, stress-free installation. Rather than requiring you to cut, splice and solder into your vehicle's wiring system, the custom wiring connector uses a single OEM-compatible plug and instantly provides a standard, universal vehicle-to-trailer wiring connection, typically in the form a 4-way flat. All CURT custom wiring connectors are made vehicle-specific for the easiest possible installation and the best fit. This particular plug-in connector provides a 4-way flat socket and is designed to be a custom wiring option for certain years of the Ford F150 (factory tow package required; to verify your vehicle compatibility, see application info). It comes with all necessary hardware to establish a solid connection. It also comes with a dust cover to keep the connector socket clean when not in use. To ensure long-lasting reliability, all CURT custom wiring connectors are thoroughly tested for optimal functionality. Stress is the last thing you should feel when towing a trailer -- whether you're hauling your RV to that favorite camping destination, your ATVs up to the hunting grounds or your fishing boat to the new hidden hotspot. At CURT, we think your towing equipment should add to the enjoyment of your experience, not detract from it.

Yes, Curt part 56110 is designed for Ford F-150 vehicles. Your vehicle must have an OEM trailer wiring harness connector located on top of the spare tire support on the driver side. If your F-150 does not have this connector, this product will not be compatible.
The Curt 56110 includes a 4-Flat harness connector, a white ground wire with ring terminal, and a screw for securing the ground connection.
The OEM trailer wiring harness connector is located on top of the spare tire support on the driver side of the vehicle.
1. Locate the vehicle's OEM trailer wiring harness connector on top of the spare tire support on the driver side. 2. If the vehicle does not have a 4-Flat harness already connected, remove the cover from the connector. If a 4-Flat harness is already connected, carefully separate the connectors without damaging the locking tabs. 3. Insert the new 4-Flat harness connector into the vehicle's harness connector, ensuring it is fully inserted with locking tabs in place.
Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as an existing screw with nut in the vehicle's frame. If no suitable point exists, drill a 3/32" hole and secure the white ground wire using the ring terminal and screw provided with the harness.
Drilling is not always required. If your vehicle's frame has an existing screw with nut suitable for grounding, you can use that. If no suitable grounding point exists, you will need to drill a 3/32" hole to secure the white ground wire using the ring terminal and screw provided.
Drill a 3/32" hole for the ground wire connection.
Route the 4-Flat harness back to the rear of the vehicle and secure it in a convenient, out-of-the-way location near the hitch.
Before drilling, verify that miscellaneous items that may be hidden behind or under any surface are not in the way. This will help you avoid damage to vehicle components and prevent personal injury.
Yes, the Curt 56110 is designed for Ford F-150 vehicles with an OEM trailer wiring harness connector on the spare tire support (driver side).
Only if your F-150 lacks an existing screw-with-nut grounding point on the frame. If needed, drill a 3/32" hole for the ground wire.
The manual does not specify required tools. A drill with a 3/32" bit may be needed if you must create a grounding hole. Contact Curt Technical Support at 1-877-287-8634 for a complete tool list.
The CURT 13475 has a gross trailer weight (GTW) capacity of 6,000 lbs. and a tongue weight (TW) capacity of 900 lbs. If using weight distribution, the weight distribution (WD) capacity is 10,000 lbs. with a WD tongue weight (WDTW) of 1,000 lbs. Never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity.
Yes. The installation requires the spare tire to be lowered before beginning. After installation is complete, the spare tire is raised back into position in Step 6.
You will need: a ratchet, torque wrench, 10mm socket, 15/16" socket, 13mm socket, and masking tape. A tools reference guide is available at curtmfg.com/trailer-hitch-installation.
The kit includes: 2 U-shaped spacers (3/16" x 1" x 2"), 6 square-hole spacers (3/8" x 1-1/4" x 2-1/2"), 4 carriage bolts (5/8"-11 x 1-3/4", grade 8), 4 serrated-flange nuts (5/8"-11, grade 8), 4 fishwires (5/8"), and 1 flange bolt (M8-1.25 x 25mm, CL10.9).
If a grounding cable is present on the rear of the passenger side frame rail, it must be temporarily removed using a 10mm socket in Step 1. The fastener should be returned to the vehicle owner. After the hitch is installed, the grounding cable is reinstalled using the provided M8 flange bolt in Step 5.
If present, a harness plug is located on the driver side frame rail and must be pulled out in Step 2 before installation. After the hitch is installed, the harness plug is pushed back into the 1" hole on the hitch plate on the driver side in Step 5.
Fishwire is a tool used to guide hardware through the vehicle frame rails. Insert the coiled end of the fishwire through the hitch mounting hole in the frame rail and out the access hole. Pass the coiled end through a spacer and thread a bolt into the coil. Kink the wire to keep the spacer separate from the bolt. Pull the fishwire, spacer, and bolt through the frame and out the mounting hole. This prevents loss of bolts or spacers inside the frame rail.
In Step 4, two 5/8" carriage bolts are fishwired through either an access hole or the end of the frame on each side (for a total of 4 carriage bolts). The hardware is left in the frame with the fishwires attached until Step 5, when the hitch is raised into position and the fishwires are pulled to position the bolts.
In Step 3, U-shaped spacers are taped into the recess in the frame at the rearward most holes on both sides of the vehicle.
All 5/8" fasteners must be torqued to 180 lb-ft in Step 6 after the hitch is raised into position and the serrated flange nuts are loosely installed.
The grounding cable is reinstalled using the provided M8 flange bolt (M8-1.25 x 25mm, CL10.9) in Step 5 after the hitch is installed.
Safety glasses should be worn at all times while installing this product. Never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity. Proper tools will improve the quality of installation and reduce the time required.
Periodic inspection of the trailer hitch should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight and structural components are secure.
Yes, the spare tire must be lowered before installation and raised back into position after the hitch is installed.
A torque wrench is essential, along with a ratchet, 10mm socket, 15/16" socket, 13mm socket, and masking tape.
All 5/8" fasteners must be torqued to 180 lb-ft.
The tongue weight capacity is 900 lbs. (or 1,000 lbs. if using weight distribution).
Yes, safety glasses should be worn at all times while installing this product.
No, the installation difficulty level is rated as Easy, though this may vary depending on installer expertise, vehicle condition, and proper tools and equipment.
