Open the tailgate and remove the trunk floor covering and rear cargo area cover. Remove the rear scuff panel by pulling out on the bottom and then up. Remove fasteners from the plastic cargo tray on the driver side. Remove the rear cargo loop, Phillips screws, and 10mm bolt holding the rear trim panel. Pull back on the top and bottom rear trim to locate the taillight wiring harness connectors.
Open the trunk and remove the trunk floor covering and rear cargo area cover. Remove the two fasteners securing the rear scuff panel. Remove the scuff panel by pulling out on the bottom and then up. Pull back the felt liner to locate the taillight wiring harness connectors.
Separate the vehicle taillight wiring harness connectors from the taillight housing, taking care not to damage the locking tabs. Insert the custom wiring harness end with the yellow wire (driver side) or green wire (passenger side) between the separated connectors. Make sure the connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs in place.
Mount the converter box on a flat, clean surface that is out of the path of spray and debris from the rear wheels and road. Use the provided double-sided tape to adhere it. Failure to mount in a protected area can cause loss of warranty, product failure, overheating, and potential fire.
