The kit includes a black converter box, a T-connector for the vehicle's taillight wiring, a 4-flat connector, double-sided tape for mounting the converter box, and cable ties to secure loose parts of the T-connector.
The grommet is located on the driver's side of the vehicle between the rear tire and bumper, marked as location S5. This is where the vehicle's taillight wiring harness is accessed.
1. Locate and remove the grommet at location S5 (driver's side, between rear tire and bumper). 2. Find the vehicle's taillight wiring harness behind the grommet. 3. Insert the T-connector into the vehicle's connector, ensuring both are fully inserted with locking tabs in place. 4. Make a slit in the existing grommet so wires can pass through. 5. Reseat the grommet into the access hole.
Adhere the black converter box to the frame using the double-sided tape provided. Choose a flat, clean surface that is out of the path of spray and debris from the rear wheels and road. Secure any loose parts of the T-connector with the cable ties provided.
Route the 4-flat connector to the center of the vehicle and secure it in a convenient out-of-the-way location.
