Offering up to 5,000 pounds of load-leveling capacity, the LoadLifter 5000 kit for a lifted 2017-2022 Ford F-250/F-350 SRW 4WD from Air Lift will make towing and hauling a comfortable and stress-free experience. Fully adjustable from 5-100 PSI, our air springs are the perfect partner for your vehicle, helping to eliminate problems frequently faced when towing and hauling, such as squat, poor headlight aim, trailer sway, body roll, and bottoming out. This side-mounted kit is designed to fit lifted trucks. It will not fit lifts that alter or replace factory leaf springs or lifts that alter frame-to-leaf distance. Because of its side mount design, this kit will work with leaf spring block spacer-style lifts, which are commonly used on this platform. Each kit has upper and lower roll plates to protect the air springs from sharp edges. The air springs are built similarly to tires, reinforced with 2-ply fabric for maximum strength. All end caps are made with an ultra-high-strength nylon composite formula, as strong as steel but much lighter and corrosion-proof. Installing the kit is simple, requiring only common hand tools and no frame drilling. The LoadLifter 5000 kit has clear, easy-to-follow instructions and an underframe design that works with most in-bed hitches. The LoadLifter 5000 is an air spring suspension support system that provides up to 5,000 pounds (2,268 kg) of load-leveling support. It uses reinforced, commercial-grade convolute bellows manufactured like a tire with layers of rubber and cords. The air springs are adjustable from 5–100 PSI (0.34–7 BAR), allowing you to adjust support based on your load.

If your F-250 has Ford 5th wheel brackets mounted to the side of the frame, you must remove the hardware that holds the brackets to the frame during installation. The manual does not specify whether the brackets are permanently removed or can be reinstalled after the air springs are mounted.
Required tools include: hacksaw or handheld grinder with cut-off wheel; tin snips or box cutter knife; standard and metric open-end or boxed-end wrenches; standard and metric regular and deep-well sockets; 15/16" ½ drive socket; 15/16" open-end or boxed-end wrench; 3/8" and ½" drive ratchet; small and large capacity torque wrench; hose cutter, razor blade or sharp knife; hoist and axle lift or floor jack; two tire chocks; two safety stands; safety glasses; air compressor or compressed air source; and spray bottle with dish soap/water solution.

The manual does not mention battery disconnection. This kit is a mechanical air suspension system with no electrical components requiring battery disconnection.
The 3/8" hex cap screws (H) that attach the upper brackets (B & C) to the air springs must be torqued to no more than 20 lb.-ft. (27 Nm).
Install the 1/4" 90-degree swivel air fittings (G) into the top of the air spring finger-tight, then tighten an additional 1½ turns. Do not over-tighten.
The 5/8" hex cap screws (M) that attach the upper brackets to the frame must be torqued to 185 lb.-ft. (250 Nm).
The lower bracket mounting hardware must be torqued to no more than 20 lb.-ft. (27 Nm) during initial alignment. After alignment is complete, the U-bolt hardware is torqued to 16 lb.-ft. (22 Nm) for both frame-contact and non-frame-contact overload models.

Yes. You must drill a 5/16" (8 mm) hole for each Schrader valve location. The manual recommends choosing locations inside the fuel tank filler door, inside rear wheel wells, or in the license plate or rear bumper area. The manual does not specify the number of valves or whether drilling is required on all installations.
On models equipped with an inner fender liner, you must trim out a small section where the fender comes in contact with the roll plates on top of the air spring. Use tin snips or a box cutting knife to trim the area as needed. The manual warns to use extreme caution with a box cutting knife to avoid injury. Not all models have an inner fender liner.
For non-frame-contact overload models only: use a hacksaw or grinder to trim the rear, inside leftover length of the U-bolt off to just above the nylon lock nut on both sides of the vehicle. For frame-contact overload models, there is no need to trim the U-bolts.
Use zip ties (BB) to secure the air line to fixed points along the chassis. Do not pinch or kink the air line. Leave at least 2" (51 mm) of slack in the air line to allow for any movement that might pull on the air line. The minimum bend radius for the air line is 1" (25 mm). Keep at least 6" (152 mm) of clearance between all air lines and the exhaust system. Avoid sharp bends and edges.
Make clean, square cuts with a razor blade or hose cutter when cutting the air line (AA). Do not use scissors or wire cutters, as they will damage the line.
Never inflate the air springs beyond 100 PSI (7 BAR). The minimum recommended air pressure is 5 PSI (0.34 BAR). The actual air pressure needed depends on your load and gross vehicle weight rating.
Maintain at least 6" (152 mm) of clearance between air springs and air lines and any heat sources. If a heat shield was included in the kit, install it. If there is no heat shield but one is required, call Air Lift customer service at (800) 248-0892.

(2) Leak test—inflate to 40–60 PSI and check all connections for leaks; all leaks must be eliminated before road testing. (3) Heat test—verify at least 6" (152 mm) clearance from heat sources. (4) Fastener test—after 500 miles (800 km), recheck all bolts for proper torque. (5) Road test—drive 10 miles (16 km) and recheck for clearance, loose fasteners and air leaks.
Check air pressure weekly to maintain proper system operation and load support.
Use a soapy water solution to check all air line connections and the inflation valve core to locate the leak. Do not deflate and remove the air spring until you have identified the source of the leak.
After 500 miles (800 km), recheck all bolts for proper torque to ensure the system remains secure.
