ARIES Jeep roof light mounting brackets allow you to mount a 50" LED light bar above your windshield, lighting the way on the trail and making your Jeep Wrangler stand out from the pack. These LED light bar mounting brackets feature stainless steel construction with a durable powder coat finish to provide maximum rust resistance and easily outlast the elements. They also feature removable stainless steel cover plates that allow for easier access to the light bar mounting hardware during installation. With the cover plates bolted into place, the light bar hardware is protected and hidden from view for added security and a more integrated look. ARIES Jeep light brackets are fast and easy to install, using factory mounting points on the Jeep JK to eliminate the need for drilling. Once installed, the roof light brackets accept the ARIES 50" double-row LED light bar #1501278 or other 50" light bars. These brackets can also be purchased with an included center crossbar that spans the width of the windshield and provides a mounting point for multiple smaller light bars or work lights (see part #15914).

You will need: a ratchet, a 5mm Allen wrench, a T-20 Torx bit, and a T-50 Torx bit. A level is also recommended to ensure the light bar is properly aligned during installation.
Yes. The manual specifies that you need help to lift the light bar into place during Step 3. At minimum, two people are required for installation.
1. Remove the top five factory fasteners from the driver-side windshield pillar using a T-50 Torx bit and ratchet. 2. Install the driver-side mounting bracket with M8 x 35mm screws, M8 flat washers, and spacers; snug but do not fully tighten. 3. Repeat for the passenger side. 4. With help, lift the light bar into place and fasten using the light bar's hardware. 5. Level and adjust the light bar, then tighten all hardware. 6. Attach logo plates using M4 x 14mm screws.
The spacers go between the mounting bracket and the vehicle. To make installation easier, apply a small amount of adhesive to the spacers and temporarily secure them to the vehicle over the mounting locations before installing the bracket. This holds them in place while you install the M8 x 35mm screws.
No. After installing the driver- and passenger-side mounting brackets with the M8 x 35mm screws, snug the hardware but do not fully tighten. Wait until after the light bar is lifted into place, leveled, and adjusted. Then tighten all hardware.
M8 bolts should be torqued to 7 ft-lbs. This applies to the M8 x 35mm button head screws used to attach the mounting brackets to the vehicle.
The manual does not provide a torque specification for M4 bolts. Use the general torque table provided: M6 bolts are 3 ft-lbs, M8 bolts are 7 ft-lbs, M10 bolts are 16 ft-lbs, and M12 bolts are 28 ft-lbs. Use only mild automotive detergent and water to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes, or similar products that may damage the finish. After installation, wax the product to protect it. Regular waxing is recommended. For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Do not use any polish or wax containing abrasives.
Periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. Check the driver- and passenger-side bracket fasteners and logo plate screws regularly to maintain a secure installation.
