ARIES Jeep roof light mounting brackets allow you to mount an LED light bar up to 50" long above your windshield, lighting the way on the trail and making your Jeep Wrangler stand out from the pack. These LED light bar mounting brackets feature stainless steel construction with a durable powder coat finish to provide maximum rust resistance and easily outlast the elements. They also feature removable stainless steel cover plates that allow for easier access to the light bar mounting hardware during installation. With the cover plates bolted into place, the light bar hardware is protected and hidden from view for added security and a more integrated look. ARIES Jeep light brackets are fast and easy to install, using factory mounting points on the Jeep Wrangler to eliminate the need for drilling. Once installed, the roof light brackets and slotted center crossbar can accept multiple smaller light bars or work lights up to 50" in total length. The center crossbar can also be removed to mount a full 50" light bar (ARIES 50" double-row LED light bar #1501278 recommended).

The kit includes: 2 mounting brackets (driver and passenger side), 2 cover plates (driver and passenger side), 6 button head screws (5/16" x 1.25"), 8 button head cap screws (M4 x 10mm), 4 flat washers (M6), 4 lock washers (M6), 4 socket head screws (M6 x 18mm), 6 flat washers (M8), and 6 spacers.
You will need: a T-40 Torx bit, a ratchet, a 2.5mm Allen wrench, a 5mm Allen wrench, a 3/16" Allen wrench, and a torque wrench.
Yes. Step 3 requires help to lift the crossbar into place and fasten it to the mounting brackets.
Starting on the driver side, use a ratchet and a T-40 Torx bit to remove the top three factory fasteners from the windshield pillar.
Select the driver-side mounting bracket and install using the provided 5/16" x 1.25" button head screw, M8 flat washer, and spacer. Position the spacers between the mounting bracket and vehicle, start all three screws, and snug the hardware but do not fully tighten. The manual recommends applying a small amount of adhesive to the spacers and temporarily securing them to the vehicle over the mounting locations to make installation easier.
Repeat the same process used for the driver-side bracket: select the passenger-side mounting bracket and install using the provided 5/16" x 1.25" button head screw, M8 flat washer, and spacer. Position the spacers between the mounting bracket and vehicle, start all three screws, and snug the hardware but do not fully tighten.
With help, lift the crossbar into place and fasten it to the driver- and passenger-side mounting brackets using the provided M6 x 18mm socket head screw, M6 flat washer, and M6 lock washer. Level and adjust the crossbar, then tighten all hardware.
Attach the driver- and passenger-side cover plates using the provided M4 x 10mm button head screws.
M6 bolts should be torqued to 3 ft.-lbs.
M8 bolts should be torqued to 7 ft.-lbs.
Metric: M6 bolt = 3 ft.-lbs., M8 bolt = 7 ft.-lbs., M10 bolt = 16 ft.-lbs., M12 bolt = 28 ft.-lbs. SAE: 1/4" bolt = 3 ft.-lbs., 5/16" bolt = 7 ft.-lbs., 3/8" bolt = 16 ft.-lbs., 7/16" bolt = 20 ft.-lbs., 1/2" bolt = 28 ft.-lbs. Use these settings unless otherwise noted in the instructions.
Use only mild automotive detergent to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes, or similar products that may damage the finish. Wax the product after installation, and regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer. For polished, gloss, and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives.
Periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight.
