ARIES VersaTrac bracket covers add a finishing touch and extra protection to any ARIES running boards or side steps with the VersaTrac mounting system. The covers are designed to mount over the top of each bracket, giving the running board a more enhanced appearance. The covers are constructed from thermoplastic rubber to be strong and completely resilient to rust. The rubber helps protect the brackets from water, dirt and other elements, and it can easily be trimmed to accommodate any vehicle application. Installation of ARIES VersaTrac bracket covers is quick and easy. They feature slotted holes and utilize the existing mounting hardware on the running boards and running board brackets. The slotted holes allow for easy adjustments as needed. This package includes six bracket covers to accommodate extended cab applications and up to six mounting brackets. Packages of four and eight are also available for regular cab and crew cab.

The kit includes 6 outer bracket trims and 6 inner bracket trims. Attachment hardware is supplied with the mounting brackets; hardware quantities vary depending on the vehicle application. The kit does not include the VersaTrac™ brackets themselves, which must be pre-installed.
Yes. Side bars or running boards must be removed before installing the bracket trim. After the bracket trim is fitted to the VersaTrac™ brackets, the side bars or running boards are reinstalled and fastened using the supplied hardware.
Trimming may be required to achieve the best fit for your VersaTrac™ brackets. Place the inner bracket trim on the VersaTrac™ bracket to determine where trimming is necessary, mark the areas with a marker, and carefully cut using scissors. Repeat this process for each bracket on your vehicle.
You will need a socket set, scissors, and a torque wrench. The manual notes that proper tools will improve the quality of installation and reduce the time required.
Use the following torque specifications unless otherwise noted: M6 bolt: 3 ft-lbs; M8 bolt: 7 ft-lbs; M10 bolt: 16 ft-lbs; M12 bolt: 28 ft-lbs. In SAE sizes: 1/4" bolt: 3 ft-lbs; 5/16" bolt: 7 ft-lbs; 3/8" bolt: 16 ft-lbs; 7/16" bolt: 20 ft-lbs; 1/2" bolt: 28 ft-lbs. Hardware quantities and sizes vary by vehicle application.
Place the trimmed inner bracket trim on the VersaTrac™ bracket, then place the outer bracket trim over the top. Align the slots in the bracket trim to the slots in the VersaTrac™ brackets. Repeat this process for all remaining brackets on your vehicle.
First, place the trimmed inner bracket trim on the VersaTrac™ bracket. Then place the outer bracket trim over the top. Align the slots in both trims to the slots in the VersaTrac™ brackets.
Carefully position the side bar or running board onto the brackets and trim. Fasten the side bar or running board to the brackets using the hardware supplied with the mounting brackets. Torque the hardware to the specifications listed in the torque table on page 1 of the manual.
Wax the product after installing to protect it. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. Use only mild automotive detergent to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or similar products that may damage the finish. Do not use polish or wax containing abrasives. For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs.
Periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. This is especially important after the side bars or running boards are reinstalled. Check the hardware periodically and retorque if necessary using the torque specifications provided in the manual.
