These 3" nerf bars are constructed from strong carbon steel for superior rigidity, and they feature a sleek semi-gloss black powder coat finish. For an added edge, each nerf bar also goes through an E-coat process, before receiving its black powder coat, to strengthen and protect the final finish against peeling, chipping and scratching. ARIES 3" round side bars are also available in polished stainless steel or semi-gloss black powder-coated steel. All ARIES 3" nerf bars come with heavy-duty steel brackets and non-skid step pads. The mounting brackets are strong and custom-designed for specific makes and models to allow the side bars to contour to the lines of your vehicle. They offer easy installation and the strength necessary to provide sound footing. These particular custom nerf bars fit specific years of the Toyota Tacoma (see application info to verify fitment). ARIES 3" round side bars also come with non-skid step pads made of tough polypropylene. These step pads feature a textured pattern for enhanced safety, and they cover a wide portion of the tubes for a more comfortable step.

No. Snug all hardware but do not fully tighten until after the side bar is placed on the brackets and adjusted for level. Tighten all brackets to the vehicle first, then the side bar connections.
Locate the three mounting locations underneath the vehicle on each side and remove the plastic plugs from each location. Read all instructions thoroughly before beginning.
Wax the product after installing and regularly thereafter to add a protective layer. Do not use polish or wax containing abrasives. For gloss black finishes, use mild soap to clean. Perform periodic inspections to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight.
The ARIES 202009 is a 3" round side bar kit for vehicles. It includes driver and passenger side bars with mounting brackets and all necessary hardware for installation.
1. Remove plastic plugs from the three mounting locations on the driver side. 2. Install the front, middle, and rear driver-side brackets using M8 bolts, lock washers, and flat washers; snug but do not fully tighten. 3. Place the driver-side bar on the brackets and secure with M10 bolts and flat washers; snug but do not fully tighten. 4. Adjust and level the side bar, then tighten all brackets to the vehicle first, followed by the side bar connections. 5. Repeat the entire process on the passenger side.
Three mounting brackets per side: one front, one middle, and one rear. Each bracket is secured to the vehicle using M8 hex bolts with lock washers and flat washers.
M10 hex bolts (25mm) with flat washers. One bolt and washer is used at each mounting location where the side bar connects to the brackets.

For gloss black finishes, mild soap may be used to clean the product. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives, as these could damage the finish. Regular waxing with non-abrasive wax is recommended for protection.
Periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. The manual does not specify the exact interval, but regular checks are recommended as part of vehicle maintenance.
Snugging bolts before final tightening allows you to adjust and level the side bar properly. The manual recommends tightening all brackets to the vehicle first, then the side bar connections, to ensure proper alignment and prevent damage to the product or vehicle.
