ARIES 4" oval side bars are sleek, strong and custom-fitted to be a highly functional extens ion of your truck. ARIES 4" oval side bars are made with strong 4" elliptical tubing and are available in two different finish options to allow you full customization: polished stainless steel and black powder coat carbon steel. This set of side bars is constructed from high-strength carbon steel for a solid step, and they feature a dual-layer E-coat and semi-gloss black powder coat finish for excellent protection against scratching, chipping and peeling. Something that sets the ARIES 4" oval side bar apart from all others is its blended end caps and OE-style bends. Rather than capping our side bars with a plastic cap, we offer a blended end cap for a smooth, finished appearance. We also equip the ends with a special 20-degree bend and original equipment styling to perfectly contour to your vehicle. ARIES 4" oval side bars are fitted with raised step pads to provide a wide stepping surface. The polypropylene construction will not crack over time, and because it has a textured grip, the surface is highly resistant to slips and skids, even when wet. To add an extra element of class to our oval sides, we also fit each one with a stainless steel insignia bearing the ARIES name. Installation of ARIES 4" oval side bars is quick and easy with custom-fitted mounting brackets and no drilling necessary. These nerf bars fit select model years of the Toyota Tacoma (see application info to verify fitment).

The S222009 kit includes two side bars (driver and passenger), six mounting brackets (two front, two middle, two rear), twelve M10 hex bolts with flat and lock washers, and twelve M8 hex bolts with flat and lock washers. All fasteners needed for installation are included.
Yes. The S222009 uses existing holes on the rocker panel. Installation begins by removing plastic plugs on the rocker panel to locate these mounting holes, then attaching the brackets to them using the included M8 bolts.
A torque wrench is required to tighten bolts to specification. The manual states that proper tools will improve installation quality and reduce time required. A socket set compatible with M8 and M10 bolts is also necessary.
1. Remove plastic plugs on the driver-side rocker panel and attach the front, center, and rear mounting brackets to existing holes using M8 bolts, flat washers, and lock washers, hand-tightened. 2. Attach the driver-side tube to all three brackets using six M10 bolts, flat washers, and lock washers; snug but do not fully tighten. 3. Adjust the tube to be level and centered, then tighten all M10 bolts to specification. 4. Repeat the entire process for the passenger side.

Wax the product after installation; regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use any polish or wax containing abrasives, as these could damage the finish. For gloss black finishes, mild soap may be used to clean the product.
