The ARIES 3" bull bar is made for those who face the uncertain road without fear. This particular model is constructed from 304 stainless steel. 304 stainless is high in nickel content, allowing the bull bar to easily resist water, road salt and rust and maintain its mirror-like polished finish in spite of the elements. Other available finishes include high-gloss black stainless steel, textured black steel and semi-gloss black steel. Customizing the look of your vehicle is simple with the ARIES 3" bull bar. It is equipped with pre-drilled light mounting holes and a removable skid plate. The center crossbar features two pre-drilled holes that readily accept an LED light bar or two LED work lights. The skid plate is made from 304 stainless steel and has a brushed finish to stop rust and hide scratches and scuffs. It also features an aggressive, ARIES-exclusive cutout pattern and can be removed for a customized look. Each ARIES 3" bull bar is made a vehicle-specific design, meaning that for each make and model, the bull bar has a custom bend and unique mounting brackets. This allows for the best possible fit on your vehicle and ensures solid attachment. The brackets also use pre-existing factory holes in the vehicle's frame to eliminate drilling, speed up installation and increase rigidity. This bull bar fits select model years of the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 (see application info to verify fitment).

No. The manual states that tow hooks cannot be reinstalled with the bull bar. If your vehicle is equipped with tow hooks, they must be removed before installation and cannot be reused.
The manual notes that installation may interfere with front-mounted sensors. You should inspect your vehicle's sensor locations before installation. Yes. The manual specifies that assistance is required. In Step 5, you must hold the bull bar up in position on the outside of the mounting brackets with assistance while attaching it.
Cutting may be required. If your vehicle has tow hooks, you will trim the plastic bumper insert as required to clear the mounting brackets. If your vehicle does not have tow hooks, you must cut out the indented area on both sides of the plastic bumper insert. The manual recommends making several small cuts for the best fit and checking clearance as you work.
The torque specification for M10 bolts is 16 ft-lbs.
The torque specification for M12 bolts is 28 ft-lbs.
No. The manual specifies a staged tightening process. In Steps 2 and 3, leave the 12mm hardware loose. In Step 5, do not tighten the 10mm hardware. Only after checking the bull bar alignment with the vehicle and clearance between the bull bar and bumper in Step 6 should you fully tighten all hardware.
Line up the holes in the bracket with the holes in the end of the frame channel where the tow hook was mounted. Insert a 12mm double bolt plate into the end of the frame so it passes through the two holes in the side of the frame and through the bracket. Secure it with two 12mm flat washers and two 12mm nylon lock nuts, leaving hardware loose. Repeat with a 12mm single bolt plate in the forward tow hook mounting hole, using one washer and one nut. Repeat this process for both the passenger/right and driver/left brackets.
With assistance, hold the bull bar up in position on the outside of the mounting brackets. Attach it using four M10 x 30mm hex bolts, eight M10 flat washers, and four M10 nylon lock nuts. Do not tighten the hardware at this time. After checking alignment and clearance, fully tighten all hardware.
Check the bull bar alignment with the vehicle and for clearance between the bull bar and the bumper. Adjust as required before fully tightening all hardware. After installation, perform periodic inspections to ensure that all hardware remains secure and tight.
Wax the bull bar after installing to protect the product. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives, as these can damage the finish. Mild automotive detergent may be used to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes, or similar products that may damage the finish. For stainless steel finishes, aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs. For gloss black finishes, mild soap may be used to clean the bull bar.
Read all instructions thoroughly before beginning installation. Remove all contents from the box and verify that all parts are present. Proper tools will improve the quality of installation and reduce the time required. To help prevent damage to the product or vehicle, refer to the specified torque specifications when securing hardware.
