The ARIES 3" bull bar is made for those who face the uncertain road without fear. This particular model is constructed from strong carbon steel and finished in a durable E-coat and semi-gloss black powder coat finish to outlast rust and the elements. Other available finishes include high-gloss black stainless steel, polished stainless steel and textured black steel. Customizing the look of your vehicle is simple with the ARIES 3" bull bar. It is equipped with pre-drilled light mounting holes and a removable skid plate. The center crossbar features two pre-drilled holes that readily accept an LED light bar or two LED work lights. The skid plate is made from 304 stainless steel and has a brushed finish to stop rust and hide scratches and scuffs. It also features an aggressive, ARIES-exclusive cutout pattern and can be removed for a customized look. Each ARIES 3" bull bar is made a vehicle-specific design, meaning that for each make and model, the bull bar has a custom bend and unique mounting brackets. This allows for the best possible fit on your vehicle and ensures solid attachment. The brackets also use pre-existing factory holes in the vehicle's frame to eliminate drilling, speed up installation and increase rigidity. This bull bar fits select model years of the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 (see application info to verify fitment).

If your vehicle does not have tow hooks, you must cut out the indented area in both sides of the plastic bumper insert. The manual recommends making several small cuts for best fit and checking clearance as you go.

No. The manual specifies that hardware should be left loose during the initial mounting of the brackets to the frame (steps 2–4) and when attaching the bull bar to the brackets (step 5). Only after checking the bull bar alignment with the vehicle and clearance between the bull bar and bumper should you fully tighten all hardware.
Line up the holes in the bracket with the holes in the end of the frame channel (where the tow hook was mounted). Insert a 12mm double bolt plate into the end of the frame and through the two holes in the side of the frame and through the bracket. Secure with 2 flat washers (M12) and 2 nylon lock nuts (M12), leaving hardware loose. Repeat with a 12mm single bolt plate in the forward tow hook mounting hole. Leave all hardware loose until final alignment.
With assistance, hold the bull bar up in position on the outside of the mounting brackets. Attach the bull bar using 4 hex head cap screws (M10 x 30mm), 8 flat washers (M10), and 4 nylon lock nuts (M10). Do not tighten hardware at this time. After checking alignment and clearance, fully tighten all hardware.
Check the bull bar alignment with the vehicle and for clearance between the bull bar and the bumper. Adjust as required before fully tightening all hardware. After installation, perform periodic inspections to ensure all hardware remains secure and tight.
Wax the bull bar after installation and regularly thereafter to add a protective layer. Do not use polish or wax containing abrasives, dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, or wire brushes, as these may damage the finish. Use mild automotive detergent to clean. For stainless steel finishes, aluminum polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. For gloss black finishes, use mild soap only.
