The ARIES 3" bull bar is made for those who face the uncertain road without fear. This particular model is constructed from strong carbon steel and finished in a durable E-coat and semi-gloss black powder coat finish to outlast rust and the elements. Other available finishes include high-gloss black stainless steel, polished stainless steel and textured black steel. Customizing the look of your vehicle is simple with the ARIES 3" bull bar. It is equipped with pre-drilled light mounting holes and a removable skid plate. The center crossbar features two pre-drilled holes that readily accept an LED light bar or two LED work lights. The skid plate is made from 304 stainless steel and has a brushed finish to stop rust and hide scratches and scuffs. It also features an aggressive, ARIES-exclusive cutout pattern and can be removed for a customized look. Each ARIES 3" bull bar is made a vehicle-specific design, meaning that for each make and model, the bull bar has a custom bend and unique mounting brackets. This allows for the best possible fit on your vehicle and ensures solid attachment. The brackets also use pre-existing factory holes in the vehicle's frame to eliminate drilling, speed up installation and increase rigidity. This bull bar fits select model years of the Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban and Tahoe, GMC Sierra and Yukon XL (see application info to verify fitment).

Removal is not required, but it is strongly recommended. You may also need to relocate the license plate bracket.
Yes. Step 3 requires you to remove the tow hooks from underneath the vehicle before sliding the brackets through the end frame.
From underneath the vehicle, slide the brackets through the end frame and align the holes in the bottom of the frame with the two nuts welded to the brackets. Attach using ½" fasteners (½"–13 × 2.00" hex head bolts with ½" flat and lock washers). Use one spacer plate for the large hole in the bottom of the frame. Leave fasteners loose until Step 5.
For 1999–02 models, use the front and middle holes on the hoop mounting brackets. For 2003 and later models, use the middle and rear holes.

Yes. For vehicles without tow hooks, a small opening may need to be cut out in the two inside indents of the airdam using a utility knife. See Figure 3 in the manual for guidance.

Protect the finish with a non-abrasive automotive wax. Do not use soap, polish, or wax containing abrasives, as these compounds scratch the finish and expose it to corrosion. The high finish must be maintained like any other high-finish product on the vehicle.
