The ARIES 3" bull bar is made for those who face the uncertain road without fear. This particular model is constructed from strong carbon steel and finished in a durable E-coat and semi-gloss black powder coat finish to outlast rust and the elements. Other available finishes include high-gloss black stainless steel, polished stainless steel and textured black steel. Customizing the look of your vehicle is simple with the ARIES 3" bull bar. It is equipped with pre-drilled light mounting holes and a removable skid plate. The center crossbar features two pre-drilled holes that readily accept an LED light bar or two LED work lights. The skid plate is made from 304 stainless steel and has a brushed finish to stop rust and hide scratches and scuffs. It also features an aggressive, ARIES-exclusive cutout pattern and can be removed for a customized look. Each ARIES 3" bull bar is made a vehicle-specific design, meaning that for each make and model, the bull bar has a custom bend and unique mounting brackets. This allows for the best possible fit on your vehicle and ensures solid attachment. The brackets also use pre-existing factory holes in the vehicle's frame to eliminate drilling, speed up installation and increase rigidity. This bull bar fits select model years of the Cadillac Escalade, ESV and EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado 1500, Suburban and Tahoe, GMC Sierra 1500, Yukon and Yukon XL (see application info to verify fitment).

Yes, the ARIES B35-4016 3-Inch Black Steel Bull Bar, No-Drill, Select Escalade, Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, Sierra 1500, Yukon (Part #BBDRB35-4016) is designed to fit the 2007-2014 Cadillac Escalade.
The ARIES B35-4016 3-Inch Black Steel Bull Bar, No-Drill, Select Escalade, Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, Sierra 1500, Yukon (Part #BBDRB35-4016) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
Yes, the Curt 3" Bull Bar is designed to fit 2007-16 Chevy Silverado 1500 models. However, installation requirements vary depending on whether your vehicle is equipped with factory tow hooks. Tow hooks must be removed before installation and cannot be reinstalled once the Bull Bar is mounted.
Yes, the Curt 3" Bull Bar fits 2007-15 Yukon models. Yukon, Tahoe, and Suburban models may require the forward mounting position to move the Bull Bar forward or to provide more clearance for accessory lights, unlike most Silverado/Sierra models which use the back mounting position.
Yes, the Curt 3" Bull Bar is compatible with 2007-14 Cadillac Escalade 1500, ESV, and EXT models. Installation procedures are the same as for other compatible vehicles, though you should verify whether your vehicle has factory tow hooks, which must be removed before installation.
Tow hooks are compatible with the installation process, but they must be removed before the Bull Bar can be installed. Once the Bull Bar is installed, tow hooks cannot be reinstalled. The tow hook mounting holes in the frame are used to secure the mounting brackets instead.
Installation may interfere with front-mounted sensors. The manual notes this as a potential concern but does not provide specific details about which sensors or vehicles are affected. Consult with the manufacturer or a professional installer if your vehicle has front-mounted sensors such as parking sensors, collision avoidance systems, or adaptive cruise control.
It is not required, but strongly recommended to remove or relocate the front license plate and bracket. If your local or state law requires a front license plate, Curt Manufacturing offers a license plate relocation kit as an optional accessory.
The manual instructs you to start installation from under the front of the vehicle and determine if the vehicle is equipped with tow hooks. Tow hooks are located at the end of each frame channel. If your vehicle has them, they must be removed before proceeding with Bull Bar installation. If you are unsure, consult your vehicle's owner manual or contact the manufacturer.
Cutting may be required. Vehicles with factory tow hooks require removal of the tow hooks, and the openings must be checked for bracket clearance. Vehicles without tow hooks require cutting out the indented area on both sides of the plastic bumper insert to clear the mounting brackets. The manual recommends making several small cuts for best fit and warns not to cut through the top edge of the panel.
The kit includes: 1 Bull Bar, 2 mounting brackets (driver/left and passenger/right), 2 double bolt plates (12-1.75mm x 30mm), 2 single bolt plates (12-1.75mm x 35mm), 4 hex bolts (10-1.50mm x 30mm), 10 nylon lock nuts (6 of 12-1.75mm and 4 of 10-1.50mm), and 14 flat washers (6 of 12mm x 24mm OD x 2.5mm and 8 of 10mm x 27mm OD x 3mm).
Yes, assistance is recommended. The manual states that with assistance, you should hold the Bull Bar up in position on the outside of the mounting brackets during installation (Step 7). Additionally, the manual notes that the driver side tow hook on some later models may be difficult to remove and assistance is highly recommended for those models.
Most Silverado and Sierra models use the "back" mounting position with the brackets pushed in to install the Bull Bar closer to the bumper. Tahoe, Yukon, and Suburban models may require the forward mounting position to move the Bull Bar forward or to provide more clearance for accessory lights. If the Bull Bar is too close to or touching the bumper after installation, remove the Bull Bar and reinstall the brackets in the forward position.
The manual provides two options for tow hook removal on later GM models. Option 1: Remove the hex bolts securing the driver side of the bumper to the bracket, then use a short pry bar or large screwdriver to move the tab on the bumper bracket up and away to clear the hex bolt and slide it out past the bumper bracket. Option 2: Remove the plastic radiator grille and loosen or completely remove the front bumper to access the long hex bolt in the driver side tow hook. The driver side tow hook may be difficult to remove on some later models, and assistance is highly recommended.
Do not fully tighten hardware until the final step. When installing the mounting brackets (Steps 3-4), snug but do not fully tighten the hardware. When bolting the Bull Bar to the brackets (Step 7), do not tighten hardware at this time. Only fully tighten all hardware after checking the Bull Bar alignment with the vehicle and clearance between the Bull Bar and bumper (Step 8).
The manual does not provide torque specifications for any of the fasteners. Contact Curt Manufacturing directly for the recommended torque values for the 10mm and 12mm fasteners used in this installation.
Perform periodic inspections to ensure all hardware is secure and tight. To protect your investment, wax the product after installing. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. For stainless steel, aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs, and mild soap may be used to clean the Bull Bar. For gloss black finishes, use only mild soap to clean the Bull Bar. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives, as these could damage the finish.
The manual recommends periodic inspections to ensure all hardware is secure and tight. It does not specify the exact interval for these inspections. A reasonable approach would be to check the hardware after the first few hundred miles of driving and then at regular maintenance intervals.
Yes. Tow hooks must be removed before installation and cannot be reinstalled.
Possibly. Vehicles without tow hooks require cutting the plastic bumper insert. Vehicles with tow hooks require tow hook removal and clearance checking. Make several small cuts for best fit and do not cut through the top edge of the panel.
Not required, but strongly recommended. If your state requires a front license plate, Curt offers a relocation kit.
Yes. Assistance is recommended to hold the Bull Bar in position during installation. Driver side tow hook removal on later models may also require assistance.
Wait. Snug but do not fully tighten hardware during bracket installation. Only fully tighten after checking Bull Bar alignment and clearance with the bumper.
Perform periodic hardware inspections. Wax regularly after installation. For stainless steel, aluminum polish may be used. For gloss black, use mild soap only. Do not use abrasive polish or wax.
