ARIES Jeep fender flares add style and offroad readiness to your Jeep Wrangler JL, featuring rust-free aluminum construction, custom-fit contours and a narrower width to show off larger, offroad tires. Hardened, T6 aluminum alloy construction allows these fender flares to be strong, lightweight and rust-free. To maximum corrosion resistance, they are also covered in a unique textured black powder coat finish that helps hide minor scratches and grime accumulated on the trail. They are also available in paintable, raw aluminum for added customization. ARIES Jeep fender flares are designed to replace the Jeep factory fender flares to better accent larger tires on offroad-style Wranglers. The narrowed width gives them a sleek, trail-ready look, while still maintaining excellent functionality. ARIES Jeep fender flares also feature a vehicle-specific contour to offer a precise fit and added style. ARIES fender flares come with all necessary mounting hardware for a complete installation and are sold in pairs for the front or rear (some drilling may be required).

The ARIES Jeep Wrangler JL Black Aluminum Rear Fender Flares Fender Flare (Part #BBDR2500203) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
The kit includes one driver (left) fender flare, one passenger (right) fender flare, 20 M6 hex bolts, 20 M6 rivet nuts, 20 M6 flat washers, 20 M6 lock washers, one M6 insert tool, one M8 left hand-nut, one thread-set washer, and one thread-set spacer.
Yes. You must remove all push-in retainers carefully to avoid damaging the factory fender flares, then remove and set aside the factory flare before installing the new one.
Required tools are: ratchet, socket set, wrench set, drill, drill bit (25/64" or 10mm), paint marker, panel trim removal tool, and a plier-style thread-set tool for M6 rivet nuts.
Drilling may be required. If any of the new fender flare mounting holes do not align with factory holes on the vehicle, you must drill new holes using a 25/64" or 10mm drill bit. Do not make holes larger than required, as oversized holes may cause rivet nuts to fail to install.
M6 bolts must be torqued to 3 ft-lbs.
Using a plier-style thread-set tool: (1) Screw the M8 left hand-nut completely onto the tool. (2) Slide the thread-set spacer onto the larger thread until it rests against the M8 nut. (3) Place an M6 flat washer on the small thread, followed by an M6 rivet nut. (4) Thread the rivet nut onto the small end of the tool until it seats the washer against the shoulder. (5) Insert the rivet nut into the drilled hole. (6) Using a 13mm wrench, hold the M8 nut while turning the bolt head clockwise with a 13mm socket until the M8 nut and spacer contact the washer and rivet nut. (7) After tension is felt, carefully compress the rivet nut with approximately two full rotations while keeping it seated.
1. Remove factory push-in retainers and factory fender flare. 2. Hold the new flare against the vehicle and mark mounting holes with a paint marker. 3. Drill new holes (25/64" or 10mm) where the flare holes do not align with factory holes. 4. Prepare the rivet nuts using the thread-set tool. 5. Insert rivet nuts into holes and compress them using the thread-set tool. 6. Lift the flare into place and thread ten M6 bolts with locking washers and flat washers. 7. Tighten all hardware to 3 ft-lbs. for M6 bolts. 8. Repeat on the passenger side.
Wax the product after installation. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. Use only mild automotive detergent to clean. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes, or any polish or wax containing abrasives, as these may damage the finish.
Periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. Regular waxing is recommended to protect the finish. Clean only with mild automotive detergent.
The rivet nut is properly seated when the M8 nut and thread-set spacer contact the M6 washer and rivet nut. You will feel tension at this point. Compress the rivet nut with approximately two full rotations while applying slight pressure to keep it seated. Do not over-tighten, as this may damage the thread-set tool and/or vehicle panel.
Yes, factory fender flares must be removed before installation. Remove all push-in retainers carefully and set the factory flare aside.
Use a 25/64" or 10mm drill bit. Drill only where the new flare holes do not align with factory holes. Do not make holes larger than required.
Torque M6 bolts to 3 ft-lbs.
Yes, a plier-style thread-set tool for M6 rivet nuts is required. The kit includes the M8 left hand-nut, thread-set washer, and thread-set spacer needed to use this tool.
Wax after installation and regularly thereafter. Clean with mild automotive detergent only. Do not use abrasive cleaners, wire brushes, or abrasive wax, as these damage the finish.
Ten M6 bolts are used per flare, each with a locking washer and flat washer, torqued to 3 ft-lbs.
Check that the hole size is correct (25/64" or 10mm). If the hole is oversized, the rivet nut may fail to install. Do not make holes larger than required. Ensure the thread-set tool is properly assembled with the M8 nut, thread-set spacer, M6 flat washer, and M6 rivet nut in the correct sequence before attempting installation.
Mark the new mounting location with a paint marker. Drill a new hole at the marked location using a 25/64" or 10mm drill bit. Check to make sure the threaded metal insert (rivet nut) will fit in the hole. Do not make the hole larger than required.
