ARIES 4" oval side bars are sleek, strong and custom-fitted to be a highly functional extension of your truck. ARIES 4" oval side bars are made with strong 4" elliptical tubing and are available in two different finish options to allow you full customization: polished stainless steel and black powder coat carbon steel. This set of side bars is constructed from high-strength carbon steel for a solid step, and they feature a dual-layer E-coat and semi-gloss black powder coat finish for excellent protection against scratching, chipping and peeling. Something that sets the ARIES 4" oval side bar apart from all others is its blended end caps and OE-style bends. Rather than capping our side bars with a plastic cap, we offer a blended end cap for a smooth, finished appearance. We also equip the ends with a special 20-degree bend and original equipment styling to perfectly contour to your vehicle. ARIES 4" oval side bars are fitted with raised step pads to provide a wide stepping surface. The polypropylene construction will not crack over time, and because it has a textured grip, the surface is highly resistant to slips and skids, even when wet. To add an extra element of class to our oval sides, we also fit each one with a stainless steel insignia bearing the ARIES name. Installation of ARIES 4" oval side bars is quick and easy with custom-fitted mounting brackets and no drilling necessary. These nerf bars fit select model years of the Ford F-150 (see application info to verify fitment).

Yes. You must remove the factory tape covering the mounting holes in the rocker panel at both the front and rear locations on each side of the vehicle. This exposes the holes where the clip nuts will be installed.
Clip nuts are M10 fasteners that slide into the factory mounting holes in the rocker panel. After removing the factory tape, slide the clip nuts into place from underneath the vehicle. They may need to be squeezed together slightly to prevent them from falling into the holes.
1. Remove factory tape from the front rocker panel mounting holes and install clip nuts. 2. Attach the driver side front mounting bracket (short) to the clip nuts using 2 M10 × 35mm hex bolts, 2 M10 flat washers, and 2 M10 lock washers at the top. Secure the bottom to the drip rail using 2 M10 × 35mm hex bolts, 4 M10 flat washers, 2 M10 lock washers, and 2 M10 nuts. Snug but do not tighten. 3. Repeat for the rear mounting holes using the longer rear bracket. 4. Position the driver side bar onto both brackets and attach using 4 M10 hex head bolts, 4 M10 lock washers, and 4 M10 flat washers. Snug but do not tighten. 5. Level and adjust the side bar, then tighten all hardware.
Do not tighten the hardware immediately. The instructions specify to 'snug but do not tighten' when attaching the mounting brackets and the side bar. Only after you have levelled and adjusted the side bar should you tighten all hardware.
