ARIES 4" oval side bars are sleek, strong and custom-fitted to be a highly functional extension of your truck. ARIES 4" oval side bars are made with strong 4" elliptical tubing and are available in two different finish options to allow you full customization: polished stainless steel and black powder coat carbon steel. This set of side bars is constructed from high-strength carbon steel for a solid step, and they feature a dual-layer E-coat and semi-gloss black powder coat finish for excellent protection against scratching, chipping and peeling. Something that sets the ARIES 4" oval side bar apart from all others is its blended end caps and OE-style bends. Rather than capping our side bars with a plastic cap, we offer a blended end cap for a smooth, finished appearance. We also equip the ends with a special 20-degree bend and original equipment styling to perfectly contour to your vehicle. ARIES 4" oval side bars are fitted with raised step pads to provide a wide stepping surface. The polypropylene construction will not crack over time, and because it has a textured grip, the surface is highly resistant to slips and skids, even when wet. Installation of ARIES 4" oval side bars is quick and easy with custom-fitted mounting br ackets and no drilling necessary. These nerf bars fit select model years of the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 extended cab (see application info to verify fitment).

Yes. Plastic covers are present at the threaded holes in the rocker panel. Remove the plastic covers from the threaded holes at each mounting location before attaching the mounting brackets.
Three mounting brackets are used per side bar. Each bracket is attached to the rocker panel using two M8 hex bolts, lock washers and flat washers. The side bar is then secured to all three brackets using six M10 hex bolts, flat washers and lock washers.
No. When attaching the brackets to the body panel in Step 2, snug the hardware but do not fully tighten. This allows you to align the side bar properly in Step 3 before final tightening.
M8 bolts should be torqued to 7 ft-lbs.
M10 bolts should be torqued to 16 ft-lbs.
1. Locate the six mounting locations along the inside of the rocker panel on the driver side. 2. Remove plastic covers from the threaded holes. 3. Attach the first bracket using two M8 hex bolts, lock washers and flat washers; snug but do not fully tighten. 4. Repeat for the remaining two brackets on the driver side. 5. Repeat steps 1–4 on the passenger side. 6. Place the side bar onto the mounting brackets and align all mounting locations. 7. Secure the side bar using six M10 hex bolts, flat washers and lock washers. 8. Apply final torque to all fasteners.
Wax the product after installing. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use polish or wax containing abrasives. For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Clean with mild automotive detergent only; do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or similar products that may damage the finish.
Perform periodic inspections to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. Check all fasteners regularly to maintain the integrity of the installation.
