ARIES 4" oval side bars are sleek, strong and custom-fitted to be a highly functional extension of your truck. ARIES 4" oval side bars are made with strong 4" elliptical tubing and are available in two different finish options to allow you full customization: polished stainless steel and black powder coat carbon steel. This set of side bars is constructed from high-strength carbon steel for a solid step, and they feature a dual-layer E-coat and semi-gloss black powder coat finish for excellent protection against scratching, chipping and peeling. Something that sets the ARIES 4" oval side bar apart from all others is its blended end caps and OE-style bends. Rather than capping our side bars with a plastic cap, we offer a blended end cap for a smooth, finished appearance. We also equip the ends with a special 20-degree bend and original equipment styling to perfectly contour to your vehicle. ARIES 4" oval side bars are fitted with raised step pads to provide a wide stepping surface. The polypropylene construction will not crack over time, and because it has a textured grip, the surface is highly resistant to slips and skids, even when wet. To add an extra element of class to our oval sides, we also fit each one with a stainless steel insignia bearing the ARIES name. Installation of ARIES 4" oval side bars is quick and easy with custom-fitted mounting brackets and no drilling necessary. These nerf bars fit select model years of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 HD, 2500 HD Classic, 3500 HD and 3500 Classic (see application info to verify fitment).

Yes. The installation procedure requires you to remove the factory body bolts and washers at three locations on each side of the vehicle (front, center, and rear). These factory bolts are then reused to secure the mounting brackets to the vehicle.
No. Do not use impact tools of any kind on late 2010 and 2012 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks. These vehicles use factory body mount bolts secured with heavy-duty Loctite and cage nuts. Loosen and re-tighten all bolts by hand only. If bolts become increasingly tight as you loosen them, retighten and loosen the bolt several times to clear the Loctite from the threads. Using impact tools can cause the bolts to seize and the cage nut tabs to bend, allowing the nut to spin freely inside the chassis floor board.
1. Remove contents and verify all parts are present. 2. Install the passenger/right side front mounting bracket using the factory body bolt, flat washer, and lock washer; snug but do not tighten. 3. Install the passenger/right side center mounting bracket the same way; snug but do not tighten. 4. Install the passenger/right side rear mounting bracket the same way; snug but do not tighten. 5. Attach the passenger/right side bar to all three brackets using six M10 × 30 mm hex bolts, six M10 flat washers, and six M10 lock washers; snug but do not tighten. 6. Level and align the side bar, then tighten all hardware. 7. Repeat steps 2–6 for the driver/left side bar.
No. As you install each mounting bracket and the side bar, snug the hardware but do not tighten it. Only after the side bar is level and properly aligned should you tighten all hardware. This allows for adjustment before final tightening.
