ARIES 4" oval side bars are sleek, strong and custom-fitted to be a highly functional extension of your truck. ARIES 4" oval side bars are made with strong 4" elliptical tubing and are available in two different finish options to allow you full customization: polished stainless steel and black powder coat carbon steel. This set of side bars is constructed from 304 stainless steel, meaning high nickel content to be truly stainless. They easily resist rust and corrosion and feature a highly polished finish that is made to last. Something that sets the ARIES 4" oval side bar apart from all others is its blended end caps and OE-style bends. Rather than capping our side bars with a plastic cap, we offer a blended end cap for a smooth, finished appearance. We also equip the ends with a special 20-degree bend and original equipment styling to perfectly contour to your vehicle. ARIES 4" oval side bars are fitted with raised step pads to provide a wide stepping surface. The polypropylene construction will not crack over time, and because it has a textured grip, the surface is highly resistant to slips and skids, even when wet. To add an extra element of class to our oval sides, we also fit each one with a stainless steel insignia bearing the ARIES name. Installation of ARIES 4" oval side bars is quick and easy with custom-fitted mounting brackets and no drilling necessary. These nerf bars fit select model years of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 HD, 2500 HD Classic, 3500 HD and 3500 Classic (see application info to verify fitment).

Yes. The installation procedure requires you to remove the factory body bolts and washers at three locations on each side of the vehicle (front, center, and rear). These factory bolts are then reused to secure the mounting brackets to the vehicle. The brackets are then secured to the side bars using new M10 x 30mm hex bolts, flat washers, and lock washers provided in the kit.
No. For late 2010 and 2012 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks, you must use hand tools only. Do not use impact tools of any kind. GM applies heavy-duty Loc-tite to these bolts. Loosen and retighten the bolts by hand multiple times if needed to clear the Loc-tite from the threads. Using impact tools risks seizing the bolts and bending the cage nut tabs, which can cause the nut to spin freely inside the chassis floor board.
1. Remove contents and verify all parts are present. 2. Install the passenger/right front mounting bracket using the factory body bolt, washer, and lock washer; snug but do not tighten. 3. Install the passenger/right center mounting bracket the same way; snug but do not tighten. 4. Install the passenger/right rear mounting bracket the same way; snug but do not tighten. 5. Secure the passenger/right side bar to all three brackets using 6 M10 x 30mm hex bolts, 6 M10 flat washers, and 6 M10 lock washers; snug but do not tighten. 6. Level and align the side bar, then tighten all hardware. 7. Repeat steps 2–6 for the driver/left side bar.
