You will need: scissors or utility knife, isopropyl alcohol, 1/2" wrench or socket, Phillips screwdriver, 7/16" wrench, and 13mm wrench or socket.
All areas where the bed cover mounts must be clean and free of debris. Clean mounting surfaces with soap and water to remove dirt and debris, then clean with isopropyl alcohol to remove wax or grease. Allow the surface to dry completely before proceeding with installation.
A second set of hands is recommended when installing the driver side rail to apply downward pressure while tightening each clamp, ensuring the rail sits flush and seals properly. Additionally, if rails are leaning down, one person should stand on the outside of the bed and slightly roll the rails upward while another person slowly snugs the clamps up.
If the truck has a drop-in bedliner, the front lip of the bedliner must be trimmed off to expose the top of the front bulkhead. The front bulkhead seal should then be placed as instructed, allowing it to sit flush with the top of the bed caps.
If the truck has a spray-in bedliner, the threads may need to be cleaned out before installing the front truck bracket mounting bolts (M8 x 1.25 x 20).
Drilling is not required for the standard installation. However, the drain tubes can optionally be installed by drilling a 5/8" hole in the bulkhead if you do not place them behind a bedliner or through existing bed plugs.
All clamps must be tightened to 10 ft/lbs of torque using a 1/2" wrench or socket. Do not overtighten, as this can cause the rails to lean down and affect proper operation.
Use three clamp assemblies per side. Mount the center clamp first but do not tighten completely—this allows you to adjust the rail as the outer clamps are attached. The clamps should be loosely tightened initially, then all clamps should be tightened to 10 ft/lbs of torque after the rails are properly positioned. Insert the backside of the clamp as high as possible on the truck bed rail.
The side rails must be level with the truck bed cap and not angled up or down. The rails must be square (90° angle) to the truck bed rails to allow the rear latch to engage properly and the cover to operate correctly. For the best fit, the rails should be flush with the top of the bed rail cap.
Locate the small hole and slot above the rear taillight post underneath the bed rail towards the tailgate on either side. Gently lift the edge of the plastic bed rail cap and insert the rear truck bracket under the metal bed rail with the locating tab going into the hole and the 1/4" pem stud sliding into the slot. The thin, flat portion of the bracket should face forward and sit between the plastic bed cap and metal bed rail lip. Thread the 1/4-20 mounting nuts onto the pem studs and tighten using a 7/16" wrench. Do not overtighten.
Slide the flat flange portion of the front truck bracket between the plastic bed cap and metal bed rail lip at the front of the truck. Move upward until the bracket bottoms out and the slotted hole lines up with the top threaded hole in the front corner. Thread the front truck bracket mounting bolt (M8 x 1.25 x 20) into the top threaded hole and tighten using a 13mm wrench. Repeat on the passenger side.
Clean the bed rail the same way as the mounting surfaces (soap and water, then isopropyl alcohol). Stick one rubber spacer to the bed rail adjacent to the middle clamp rail spacer prior to installing the mounting rail. The rubber spacers should be mounted on the lower portion of the bed rail, between the truck plastic bed cap and truck metal rail. Peel the backing and adhere the spacer as illustrated in the manual.
Clean the top of the bulkhead with soap and water, then with isopropyl alcohol, and allow to dry. Peel the backing from the bulkhead seal and adhere it from one bulkhead edge to the other. Remove any excess with scissors or a utility knife. Apply pressure evenly to the entire seal to ensure proper adhesion. If the truck has a drop-in bedliner, trim the front lip of the bedliner first to expose the top of the front bulkhead.
Clean the area where the seal will go with soap and water, then with isopropyl alcohol, and allow to dry. Remove the backside adhesive covering from the foam pad bulkhead seals. Position the foam pad bulkhead seal corner under the bed rail cap and onto the bulkhead face. Apply pressure to the entire seal to ensure good adhesion on both driver and passenger sides.
Attach the drain tubes to the front of the side rails to allow water to be diverted out of the truck bed via the rail. The opposite end of the drain tubes can be placed behind a bedliner, through existing bed plugs, or by drilling a 5/8" hole in the bulkhead.
Set the cover in the folded position on the side rails towards the cab of the truck. Confirm the cover is evenly spaced between the rails. Slide two cover retainer clamps into the track on the underside of the cover near the cab and confirm they fit properly into the cover rail. Repeat on the opposite side.
Peel off the adhesive liner of the gasket and adhere it to the underside of each buckle end. Position the buckle ends with the open side facing the bed cover panel. Use a Phillips screwdriver to install the two buckles into the pre-drilled holes on the front header panel with the provided screws and nutserts inserted from the backside of the panel. Tighten securely by hand only—do not use a screw gun.
With the bed cover in the folded position, clean the area where the three D-shaped cab bumpers will go with soap and water to remove dirt and debris. Then clean with isopropyl alcohol to remove wax or grease and allow to dry. Install the cab bumpers along the top edge of the cover where it meets the truck cab. Apply pressure to all bumpers to ensure good adhesion.
Unfold the cover towards the tailgate and confirm each panel is centered side to side and front to back on the truck bed. If adjustments are needed, loosen the cover retainer clamps and shift the cover until positioned correctly. The rear edge of the cover and tailgate seal should rest on top of the tailgate, with the tail panel overlapping by 0.5". Retighten the cover retainer clamps once the desired fitment is reached.
Release each latch to check if the latches are hitting or not engaging the side rails. If any latches need modifications, refer to the Slam Latch Adjustment section to make adjustments.
Use a screwdriver to partially pry open the tab on the latch housing and slide the housing away from the latch assembly. With the latch cover removed, loosen the screws and move the latch bracket to adjust. Retighten the screws and slide the latch housing back on. Note that the tab is located on the opposite side of the housing on the passenger side of the cover.
To drive with the cover in the folded up position, use the straps and buckles provided with the cover. Attach the buckle at the bulkhead, then pull the strap to take up the slack and secure the cover.
Before flipping the cover up, stow the straps using the clips on the underside of the folded cover. Fold the cover open and lift it until it is vertical or past 90 degrees towards the truck cab. Release the prop rod attached to the rail, fold it over, and position it firmly against the vertical plate on the underside of the cover. Slide the prop rod locks downwards and tighten the knobs to lock it into position on both sides. The cover should be firmly in position with little to no movement once the prop rods are locked.
To drive with the cover closed, unhook the buckles and straps from the bulkhead. Stow the straps using the clips on the underside of the folded cover. Fold all panels towards the tailgate, making sure that all latches are engaged.
Lower the tailgate and pull the cable on either side. While pulling on the cable, lift the panel up and towards the cab.
Do not place objects on or against the cover or framework. Do not tie cargo to the truck bed cover or framework. Do not operate the vehicle with objects on top of the cover. Never allow children or pets to occupy the truck bed with the cover in the fully closed position. The cover is not airtight, so special care is required to keep cargo clean and dry. The cover will not prevent theft of contents inside the truck bed.
Do not tow your vehicle from the rear with the cover on your vehicle. If towing from the rear is required, the cover must be removed from the vehicle and properly stored.

If your truck has a powered opening or closing tailgate, ensure the tailgate functions properly with the cover closed. If needed, adjust the cover towards the truck cab to allow proper tailgate operation.

Covers used at high frequency or subject to rough roadways and/or heavy vibration may require adjustment. Regularly inspect and service each panel latch by cleaning away excess dirt or grime and ensuring all latches move freely and properly engage the side rail.

Check if the latches are hitting or not engaging the side rails by releasing each latch. To fix this, loosen the nut on the affected clamp(s) and adjust until you have full engagement of both sections of the clamp. When the clamp and rail are properly engaged, an audible click will be heard. Overtightening the bolt can also contribute to tilted rails, so do not over torque the bolt.
Water intrusion can result from several issues: Make sure the retaining clamps are tight and properly engaged to the side rails. Check that the bulkhead seal is in place and the cover is resting on it. Make sure that all latches are engaged to the side rails and adjust if needed. Check that the side rails are installed flush with the top of the bed rail.
The cable could be pinched in or under the cable guide extrusion. To fix this, loosen the three screws on the center cable cover (bar) located in the middle of the panel. Slightly lift up on the cable guide extrusion and pull on both sides of the cable.
