Towing a car with all four wheels on the ground behind a motorhome demands a system that stays rigid under braking, articulates properly over uneven ground, and connects to the towed vehicle at points strong enough to take the load. Blue Ox tow bars handle the first two, with self-aligning arms that latch under tension and release without a struggle when the load is off them. Vehicle-specific baseplates handle the third, engineered per make and model to tie into structural mounting points behind the fascia.

Yes. A 4-wire or 6-wire trailer plug must be installed on the front of the towed vehicle using the 4-wire harness included in the kit. This plug is used to connect the towed vehicle to the towing vehicle for testing and operation. The plug is not included in the kit and must be sourced separately.
Starting in the engine compartment of the towed vehicle, run the 26-foot harness through the firewall, under the driver's side door sill plate, under the back seat, into the trunk area. Alternatively, you can run the harness through the engine compartment and beside the frame rail to the back of the vehicle. The routing depends on your motorhome setup.
Use a 1/2" drill bit to drill a hole into each tail light housing at the selected location. The location should be as flat as possible, with enough clearance for the bulb on the inside and the socket on the back side of the tail light assembly.

The white/green (ground) wires should be grounded to the frame with ring terminals and self-tapping screws. The white wire from the four-wire loom should be connected with the white/green wire from the driver's side socket, then grounded to the frame. Proper grounding is critical for system operation.
After wiring is complete, place the wires out of the way and test the system before attaching the tail light assemblies back onto the vehicle. A 4-wire or 6-wire trailer plug must be installed on the front of the towed vehicle. Once installed, plug the vehicles together with the coach and test each turn signal and the brake lights. If lights do not work properly, there is likely a loose connection or wiring error. Recheck all connections, especially the ground connections.

Check continuity of all wires to ground to assure the harness is not short circuited. Verify all wiring connections are correct, especially ground connections. Clean both four-way connections and ensure solid contact.
