Blue Ox is known internationally for recreational and commercial towing products, manufacturing in Pender, Nebraska since 1925. Blue Ox has manufactured since 1925 and is recognised internationally for towing products and customer service. The company operates from Pender, Nebraska, where it grew out of Automatic Manufacturing Co., a business that started with cattle oilers and developed into agricultural equipment, tractor accessories and trailer towing hardware. Flat towing is the discipline Blue Ox is best known for. Towing a car with all four wheels on the ground behind a motorhome demands a system that stays rigid under braking, articulates properly over uneven ground, and connects to the towed vehicle at points strong enough to take the load. Blue Ox tow bars handle the first two, with self-aligning arms that latch under tension and release without a struggle when the load is off them. Vehicle-specific baseplates handle the third, engineered per make and model to tie into structural mounting points behind the fascia.

Yes, the bracket on the driver's side of the radiator just under the metal bumper must be removed using a 10MM socket. The bolt is replaced, but the bracket will not be reinstalled.
Yes, drilling is required. You must drill holes in the vehicle's frame using a 13/32" drill bit. The baseplate is aligned with the ribbing on the top side of the frame, and upper holes are drilled first, followed by remaining lower holes. Both sides of the vehicle require drilling.
You must measure 3 inches down from the top of the air dam and cut a corner out to relieve the area for the baseplate on both sides of the vehicle. This is a permanent modification required for proper baseplate fitment.
Trimming of the lower grille is optional. After reinstalling the fascia and headlight assemblies, you hold the fascia in place, mark areas that need to be trimmed, and trim the lower opening accordingly. Alternatively, you can optionally remove the lower grille from the back side of the fascia.
The installation sequence is: (1) remove fascia and headlights, (2) remove radiator bracket, (3) cut corner from air dam, (4) align and clamp baseplate to frame ribbing, (5) drill upper holes with 13/32" bit, (6) drill remaining lower holes, (7) insert bolts and tighten with Loctite Blue, (8) reinstall fascia and headlights, (9) trim lower opening as needed, (10) install tow bar and safety cables per their instructions.
The top of the baseplate is aligned even with the ribbing on the top side of the frame. Once aligned, the baseplate is clamped in place with vise grips on both sides before drilling the upper holes.
The baseplate is secured using 3/8-16 x 1¼" Grade 5 bolts (part 201-0368) with 3/8 lock washers (203-0010) and 3/8-16 hex nuts (202-0003). Eight of each fastener are included. All bolts must be treated with Loctite Blue before tightening.
