This class 1 trailer hitch and ball mount combination is designed for a custom fit on select years of the Infiniti G25, G35 and G37 (see application info to verify fitment). The hitch integrates with the vehicle's frame and provides a useful and dependable 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver. The receiver is perfect for attaching the included ball mount and towing a small trailer, or for adding cargo space with a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, bike rack or other accessory. This particular class 1 hitch is rated for 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 200 pounds tongue weight (never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). The ball mount included with this trailer hitch quickly and easily installs into the hitch receiver and has a 3/4" trailer ball hole (trailer ball not included). It can be mounted in the rise or drop position to promote level towing. Like all CURT custom hitches, this class 1 hitch is protected with our co-cured finishing process. It is descaled for a smooth surface, immersed in liquid A-coat for rust resistance inside and out, covered with a durable black powder coat and finally co-cured for an industry-leading rust, chip and UV-resistant shield. Yes. In step 3, you must remove the aluminum bumper fascia spacer from the backside of the bumper by removing four existing M8 bolts. On some vehicles, you may need to fracture a tack weld to allow removal; a pry bar or screwdriver can be used for this. The spacer is then repositioned and reattached in step 4.
All M8 hardware must be torqued to 23 ft-lbs.

Yes. The installation uses the four existing M8 bolts that originally attached the aluminum bumper fascia spacer. These bolts are removed in step 3 and reused to attach the hitch and spacer in step 4.
1. Remove the two lower fascia tabs, license plate, and black underbody panel. 2. Cut a 1 3/4" wide by 2" deep rectangle in the center of the lower bumper fascia. 3. Remove the aluminum bumper fascia spacer by removing four M8 bolts. 4. Raise the hitch and spacer into position and attach with the existing M8 bolts and supplied 5/16" washers. 5. Attach the hitch to the tow loop using the supplied 1/2-13 x 1 3/4" carriage bolt, CM-SP53 spacer, and 1/2" flange nut. 6. Torque all M8 hardware to 23 ft-lbs and all 1/2" hardware to 110 ft-lbs. 7. Raise the underbody cover, mark and cut a 2 3/4" deep cutout around the hitch. 8. Reinstall the underbody cover, fascia tabs, and license plate.
The CM-SP53 square hole spacer (0.250 x 1.50 x 3.00") is used between the carriage bolt and the tow loop to properly position and support the hitch attachment. It is installed with the 1/2-13 x 1 3/4" carriage bolt and hex flange nut in step 5.
