Each custom-fit class 3 hitch package is made for vehicle-specific mounting. This particular kit fits certain years of the Hyundai Palisade (see application info to verify vehicle compatibility). It provides a weight carrying capacity of 5,000 lbs. GTW and 750 lbs. TW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. Yes. The spare tire must be temporarily removed during installation (Step 1) and reinstalled after the hitch is mounted (Step 5). Use a 9mm socket to loosen the spare tire carrier nut.
The exhaust does not need to be fully removed, but it must be temporarily lowered. Remove the three rearmost exhaust hanger rods from their rubber isolators (Step 2) and support the exhaust with a stand to prevent damage. The exhaust is reinstalled in Step 5.
Use a 5/8" open end wrench and a pry bar. Slide the wrench up to the rubber isolator, cradling the hanger rod. Place the flat edge of the pry bar between the wrench and the hanger stop or rod, then rotate the pry bar toward the wrench to remove the isolator. Using lubricant or soapy water on the hanger rod and isolator helps removal.
In Step 3, remove one rubber plug from the bottom of the frame rail on both sides. Return these plugs to the vehicle owner after installation.
Spray lubricant or compressed air into the weld nut holes to remove debris. For heavy debris, use a wire brush. Take care not to damage the threads.
1. Loosen and lower the spare tire. 2. Lower the exhaust by removing the three rearmost hanger rods. 3. Remove rubber plugs from frame rails. 4. Raise the hitch into position, aligning holes with weld nuts, and loosely install fasteners. 5. Reinstall the spare tire and exhaust.
Slide the passenger side of the hitch over the exhaust first. Then align the four holes on both sides of the hitch with the four weld nuts in the frame rails on both sides of the vehicle.
No. In Step 4, loosely install the four hex bolts and four conical washers on both sides of the hitch. Tighten them to the specified torque (68 ft-lbs) only after all fasteners are in place.
All M12 fasteners must be torqued to 68 ft-lbs.
The kit includes eight hex bolts, M12 - 1.25 x 40, Class 8.8. These are torqued to 68 ft-lbs during installation.
The kit includes eight conical-toothed washers, 1/2" in size. These are installed under the hex bolt heads.
The conical-toothed washers should be oriented with the teeth facing the hitch side plate, as shown in the Assembly diagram on page 2.
Safety glasses should be worn at all times during installation. Support the exhaust with a stand to prevent damage when it is lowered. Never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity when using the hitch.
Periodic inspection of the trailer hitch should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight and structural components are secure. Check fasteners regularly to maintain safe operation.

Yes, a compatible bike rack, cargo carrier or other accessory with a 2" x 2" shank can generally be used. Make sure the accessory does not exceed the hitch’s tongue weight rating, the vehicle’s limits or the accessory manufacturer’s capacity. Account for the combined weight of the carrier and everything loaded onto it.
