The Curt 58927 RV TOW Harness fits Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon, and GMC Yukon XL models. Your vehicle must have factory 4-pin connectors on the chassis near the rear frame on both sides. If you are unsure whether your vehicle has these connectors, locate the area underneath the vehicle near the rear frame and inspect for them before purchasing.
The kit includes: (1) Wiring Harness with 4-Flat Connector, (1) 48" 4-Flat Extension, (20) 15" Cable Ties, (1) 4-Flat Bracket, and (3) #8 Self-Tapping Ground Screws.
You will need a 10mm socket to remove and re-attach the factory ground screw, and a drill with a 3/32" bit to drill two holes for mounting the 4-Flat bracket in the engine compartment. A screwdriver may be needed to attach the bracket screws.
The factory 4-pin connectors are located underneath the vehicle on the chassis near the rear frame on both sides of the vehicle. Before installation, locate these connectors, unplug them, and inspect for dirt and debris. Clean them if necessary.
Starting on the driver's side, position the RV harness with connectors containing Yellow wires between the separated vehicle harness connectors. Press the connectors firmly into the vehicle connectors until they lock into place. Pull on the connectors to ensure the locks are engaged.
Locate the factory ground screws on the driver's side and remove one using a 10mm socket. Attach the ring terminal on the White wire to the ground screw you removed, then re-attach the 10mm bolt.
Route the portion of harness with the T-Connector ends containing the Green wire to the passenger side along the factory wire harness that routes along the rear frame rail. Secure it with the cable ties provided.
Cut the cable ties on the 4-Flat portion of the harness. Starting from the taillight connectors, route towards the brake lines near the rear tire and secure with cable ties, ensuring there is no slack. Continue routing the 4-Flat along the brake lines to the front of the vehicle, securing it with cable ties as you go. Route it up into the engine compartment along the factory wiring harness.
Locate the area in the engine compartment along the driver's side in front of the battery. Drill two 3/32" holes in this location to mount the 4-Flat bracket. Take care not to drill through the vehicle body or any exposed surface.

The 4-Flat Harness color code is: White = Ground, Brown = Tail Lights, Green = Right Turn and Brake Signal, Yellow = Left Turn and Brake Signal.
Make sure to avoid areas that contain moving parts or could cut, pinch or burn the wires when routing the 4-Flat harness towards the front of the vehicle. Also avoid routing the harness near fuel lines as it may cause fuel to ignite. Failure to follow these warnings may cause property damage, personal injury or loss of life.
With the 4-Flat extension plugged into the RV harness on one end and the motorhome on the other, test that the functions work. These functions will only work on the brake/tail combination lamp.
Store the 4-Flat extension in the vehicle's glove box when not in use.
At the rear of the vehicle, secure any loose wires to the vehicle's crossmember using the cable ties provided.
