Towing your vehicle behind your RV is a great way to experience more of the adventure on your cross-country excursions. Whether you're towing a compact car or a full-size truck, CURT has the perfect solution to help you Bring It! CURT towed-vehicle RV harnesses are a vehicle-specific, plug-and-play solution to wiring your vehicle for dinghy towing. They use original-equipment-compatible connectors to plug into your vehicle's wiring system without any cutting, splicing or soldering required. They provide a standard 4-way flat connector to plug into the RV socket and synchronize the vehicle's tail lights, turn signals and brake lights with the RV's. Because each towed-vehicle RV harness has a vehicle-specific design, installation is fast and easy. This particular RV dinghy towing wiring harness is designed for specific years of the Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Malibu and Chevrolet Traverse. CURT RV harnesses are also built to provide long-lasting operation. They feature integrated block diodes that protect the vehicle's circuits from the RV signals. They isolate the sensitive vehicle electronics, keeping them from overheating and short circuiting. Every CURT towed-vehicle RV harness comes ready to install with all necessary hardware included. They also come with a 4-way flat extension to provide plenty of length to plug into the RV socket, as well as a connector mounting bracket to mount the connector on the vehicle.

Yes, the CURT 58932 Custom Towed-Vehicle RV Wiring Harness for Dinghy Towing, Fits Select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Malibu, Traverse (Part #BKDK58932) is designed to fit the 2008-2012 Buick Enclave.
The CURT 58932 Custom Towed-Vehicle RV Wiring Harness for Dinghy Towing, Fits Select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Malibu, Traverse (Part #BKDK58932) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
The Curt 58932 RV TOW Harness fits Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, and Chevrolet Malibu. Installation procedures differ between the Enclave/Traverse and Malibu models due to different taillight access and routing requirements. Verify your vehicle model before purchasing.
The kit includes: (1) Wiring Harness with 4-Flat Connector, (1) 48" 4-Flat Extension, (20) 15" Cable Ties, (1) 4-Flat Bracket, and (3) #8 Self-Tapping Ground Screws. Only one ground screw is needed for installation; the extras are spares.
The 4-Flat Harness uses the following color code: White = Ground, Brown = Tail Lights, Green = Right Turn and Brake Signal, Yellow = Left Turn and Brake Signal.
Required tools include: a flat screwdriver, a 7mm socket (for Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse only), a drill with a 3/32" drill bit, and a fish tape or stiff wire for routing the harness through the wheel well. A fish tape is essential for Enclave and Traverse models; Malibu installation does not require wheel well routing.
Yes. For Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse, remove plastic caps with a flat screwdriver, then remove two screws with a 7mm socket. For Chevrolet Malibu, remove two plastic clips on each side, cargo net plastic screws on each side, and three plastic wing nuts on each side. Gently pull taillights away and separate the factory wiring harness connectors.
Yes. After separating the factory wiring harness connectors from the taillights, inspect them for dirt and debris and clean if necessary before connecting the RV harness connectors.
You need to drill two 3/32" holes: one for the ground wire ring terminal near the taillights, and two more for the 4-Flat bracket mounting on the front frame rail. All three holes are 3/32" diameter. Take care not to drill through the vehicle body or any exposed surfaces.
The installation requires drilling three 3/32" holes in the vehicle frame and body, which is permanent. Removal would leave these holes in the vehicle. The harness itself can be disconnected from the factory connectors without damage.
Position the RV harness with connectors containing Yellow wires between the separated vehicle harness connectors. Press the connectors firmly into the vehicle connectors until they lock into place. Pull on the connectors to ensure the locks are engaged. Repeat this process on both the driver's side and passenger's side.
Locate a clean and accessible mounting location on the vehicle near the RV harness ends, within reach of the white wire and ring terminal. Remove any debris or undercoating to expose a clean metal surface, drill a 3/32" hole, and attach the ring terminal on the White wire using one of the #8 Self-Tapping Ground Screws provided.
At the top of the wheel well, remove the two clips. Route a fish tape or stiff wire down to the bottom right of the wheel well. Attach the 4-Flat connector to the fish tape and pull it to the top of the wheel and out through the opening. Route the fish tape up through the opening on the bottom left corner to the opening on the top and pull the 4-Flat to the front of the wheel well. Replace the clips removed.
Route the 4-Flat portion down through the taillight opening toward the front of the vehicle, following the brake lines and securing with cable ties along the way. At the front of the vehicle, remove 5 bolts on the brush guard and route around the support beam to the front of the vehicle above the brush guard. This differs from Enclave/Traverse, which requires wheel well routing.
Locate the front frame rail that goes across the front of the vehicle and find a suitable position to mount the 4-Flat bracket. Using the bracket as a template, mark the two holes and drill two 3/32" holes. Attach the bracket using the two remaining #8 Self-Tapping Ground Screws. Secure the 4-Flat connector to the frame rail with a cable tie.
Position the silver heat shield so that the conduit near the exhaust is covered. Secure each end of the heat shield with a cable tie and secure the conduit to the frame rail (or rear frame rail on Enclave/Traverse) with additional cable ties.
Avoid routing the harness near moving parts, fuel lines, or areas where wires could be cut, pinched, or burned. Do not drill through the vehicle body or exposed surfaces. Failure to follow these warnings may cause property damage, personal injury, or loss of life. Take particular care when routing the 4-Flat harness toward the front of the vehicle and near the wheel well.
With the 4-Flat extension plugged into the RV harness on one end and the motorhome on the other, test that the functions work. These functions will only work on the brake/tail combination lamp. Verify that tail lights, turn signals, and brake signals operate correctly.
The Curt 58932 is designed for RV towing. It includes a connection point labeled "FOR TRAILER TOW USE ONLY: 4-FLAT HARNESS REQUIRED." If you want to tow a trailer while the RV harness is installed, you can plug in the 4-Flat Harness Part Number 58920 (for Enclave/Traverse) or 58918 (for Malibu) into the dedicated trailer connection point.
Store the 4-Flat extension in the vehicle's glove box when not in use.
Yes, the Curt 58932 fits all three vehicles. Installation procedures differ between models due to different taillight and frame configurations.
You need a flat screwdriver, 7mm socket (Enclave/Traverse only), drill with 3/32" bit, and a fish tape or stiff wire (Enclave/Traverse only for wheel well routing).
