Towing your vehicle behind your RV is a great way to experience more of the adventure on your cross-country excursions. Whether you're towing a compact car or a full-size truck, CURT has the perfect solution to help you Bring It! CURT towed-vehicle RV harnesses are a vehicle-specific, plug-and-play solution to wiring your vehicle for dinghy towing. They use original-equipment-compatible connectors to plug into your vehicle's wiring system without any cutting, splicing or soldering required. They provide a standard 4-way flat connector to plug into the RV socket and synchronize the vehicle's tail lights, turn signals and brake lights with the RV's. Because each towed-vehicle RV harness has a vehicle-specific design, installation is fast and easy. This particular RV dinghy towing wiring harness is designed for specific years of the Chevrolet Captiva Sport and Saturn Vue. CURT RV harnesses are also built to provide long-lasting operation. They feature integrated block diodes that protect the vehicle's circuits from the RV signals. They isolate the sensitive vehicle electronics, keeping them from overheating and short circuiting. Every CURT towed-vehicle RV harness comes ready to install with all necessary hardware included. They also come with a 4-way flat extension to provide plenty of length to plug into the RV socket, as well as a connector mounting bracket to mount the connector on the vehicle.

CURT offers a variety of high-quality trailer hitches and accessories for select vehicle models. Find the perfect fit for your towing needs at TowUniverse.

Yes, the Curt 58933 RV TOW Harness is designed to fit the Chevrolet Traverse. It also fits the Buick Enclave and Saturn VUE. The harness connects to the vehicle's factory wiring harness connectors located in the rear storage cavity.
Yes, the Curt 58933 RV TOW Harness is designed to fit the Saturn VUE. It also fits the Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse. For the Saturn VUE, the 4-flat connector mounts to the front frame rail and the harness routes under the vehicle to the front.
The kit includes: (1) Wiring Harness with 4-Flat Connector, (1) 48" 4-Flat Extension, (20) 15" Cable Ties, (1) 4-Flat Bracket, (3) Adhesive Cable Tie Pads, and (3) #8 Self-Tapping Ground Screws.
You will need a flat screwdriver to remove the plastic screw from the storage cavity, and a drill to create 3/32" holes for mounting. Silicone sealant is recommended to prevent leaks at the grommet where the 4-flat wire passes through.
Yes. You must open the rear tailgate and remove the plastic screw from the storage cavity on both sides. Then remove the rear threshold, floor mats, and foam supports in the trunk area. For the Saturn VUE, you must also remove the taillights. The storage cavity must be removed to access the factory wiring harness connectors.
Yes, drilling is required. You must drill one 3/32" hole near the RV harness ends to mount the ground screw (for Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse), and two 3/32" holes to attach the 4-flat bracket to the front frame rail (for Saturn VUE). Take care not to drill through the vehicle body or any exposed surface.
The 4-flat harness uses the following color code: White = Ground, Brown = Tail Lights, Green = Right Turn and Brake Signal, Yellow = Left Turn and Brake Signal. The yellow wires connect to the vehicle's factory harness connectors, while the green wire and 4-flat connector route to the front of the vehicle.
After removing the storage cavity, you will see the factory wiring harness connectors. Separate the connectors from both sides and clean them if necessary. Position the RV harness with the connectors containing yellow wires between the separated vehicle harness connectors. Press the connectors firmly into the vehicle connectors until they lock into place. Pull on the connectors to ensure the locks are engaged. Repeat this procedure on both the driver's side and passenger's side.
Route the 4-flat connector to the small rubber grommet located in the center of the vehicle (under the vehicle). Make a small slit in the grommet and slide it over the 4-flat wire. Secure the grommet back in its hole. It is recommended that silicone be applied to the grommet to prevent leaks. Under the vehicle, route the 4-flat harness up and around the exhaust, then along the brake lines to the front of the vehicle, securing with cable ties along the way.
Locate the front frame rail that goes across the front of the vehicle. Using the 4-flat bracket as a template, mark the two holes and drill two 3/32" holes. Attach the bracket using the two remaining #8 self-tapping screws. Secure the 4-flat connector to the frame rail with a cable tie.
Locate a clean and accessible mounting location on the vehicle near the RV harness ends within reach of the white wire and ring terminal. Remove any debris or undercoating to expose a clean metal surface and drill a 3/32" hole. Attach the ring terminal on the white wire using the #8 self-tapping ground screw provided.
Make sure to avoid areas that contain moving parts or could cut, pinch, or burn the wires. Avoid routing the harness near fuel lines as it may cause fuel to ignite. Route the harness up and around the exhaust, and use the provided adhesive cable tie pads to secure the heat shield away from the exhaust. Failure to follow these warnings may cause property damage, personal injury, or loss of life.
With the 4-flat extension plugged into the RV harness on one end and the motorhome on the other, test that the functions work on your vehicle. For the Saturn VUE, these functions will only work on the brake/tail combination lamp. Verify that tail lights, right turn and brake signals (green wire), and left turn and brake signals (yellow wire) operate correctly.
The Curt 58933 RV TOW Harness is designed for RV use. However, it includes a connection point labeled "FOR TRAILER TOW USE ONLY: CONVERTER REQUIRED." If you want to tow a trailer, you can leave the RV harness on the vehicle and plug in the 4-flat harness part number 58920, and you will be ready to tow.
When not in use, store the 4-flat extension in the vehicle's glove box.
