Each custom-fit class 3 hitch package is made for vehicle-specific mounting. This particular kit fits certain years of the Dodge Caravan, Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country (see application info to verify vehicle compatibility). It provides a weight carrying capacity of 3,500 lbs. GTW and 350 lbs. TW. It is also compatible with a weight distribution hitch for level towing and a rating of 4,000 lbs. WD and 400 lbs. WDTW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. To ensure that CURT class 3 receiver hitches have what it takes for serious trailering, they are designed using a hands-on approach and are constructed with rugged, high-strength steel and precise welding. We also protect our class 3 hitches in a co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and black powder coat for superior resistance to rust, chipping and UV damage.

The Curt 13389 uses all existing hardware from your vehicle. You will reuse three 10mm bolts per side that attach the rear spring shackle to the frame, and one 12mm bolt per side located forward of the spring shackle. Save these bolts during removal; no additional fasteners are required. The hitch also uses existing weld nuts on the vehicle.
Yes. Remove the three 10mm bolts attaching the rear spring shackle to the vehicle's frame on both sides, and the single 12mm bolt located forward of the spring shackle on both sides. Save all four bolts per side; they will be reused to secure the hitch. No other components need to be removed.
1. Position the hitch's left mounting tab on the driver side over the leaf spring near the rear axle. 2. Pull this side of the hitch towards the rear of the vehicle into position. 3. Repeat on the passenger side. 4. Raise the hitch so it contacts the vehicle's frame rail. 5. Align the three holes in the hitch with the holes in the vehicle's frame where fasteners were removed. 6. Bolt the hitch in place using the previously removed fasteners.
Torque all 10mm fasteners to 48 lb-ft and all 12mm fasteners to 86 lb-ft. This applies to the bolts removed from the rear spring shackle (10mm) and the bolt forward of the spring shackle (12mm) on both sides of the vehicle.
