Whatever your task at hand -- whether it's launching that boat before daybreak, setting up your camper before the rush or getting a final load to the dump before close -- CURT class 3 trailer hitches offer the strength needed for serious towing. They make it easy to hitch up and Bring It, offering a vehicle-specific fit and the weight capacity to handle a variety of trailers. Custom class 3 hitches are the most common type of receiver hitch for pickup trucks and SUVs. Because of their weight range, they are also found on full-size cars, crossovers and minivans. Each custom-fit class 3 hitch package is made for vehicle-specific mounting. This particular kit fits certain years of the Chevy S10, GMC S15, GMC Sonoma and Isuzu Hombre (see application info to verify vehicle compatibility). It provides a weight carrying capacity of 4,000 lbs. GTW and 400 lbs. TW. It is also compatible with a weight distribution hitch for level towing and a rating of 6,000 lbs. WD and 600 lbs. WDTW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. To ensure that CURT class 3 receiver hitches have what it takes for serious trailering, they are designed using a hands-on approach and are constructed with rugged, high-strength steel and precise welding. We also protect our class 3 hitches in a co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and black powder coat for superior resistance to rust, chipping and UV damage.

No. The Curt 13021 is designed for 1983–2004 Chevrolet S-10 Pickups only. A 2005 model is outside the supported range.
Possibly. The manual notes that some spare tires may need to be lowered and repositioned for hitch installation on Sport Side bed models. If your vehicle uses a cradle storage system for the spare tire, you may need to lower and reposition it during installation.
It depends on your vehicle model year. For Sport Side bed models, you only need to remove bumper bracket bolts. For Step Bumper models, you must remove the entire bumper, leaving the brackets attached to the frame, and disconnect the bumper wiring.
Pre-1994 models have the bumper attached to each bracket by two horizontal bolts. 1994–1997 models use two vertical bolts per bracket. 1998–present models have the bumper attached with four vertical bolts and include a plastic tread on top of the bumper that must be removed before installation.
1. Remove bumper bracket bolts and return them to the vehicle owner. 2. Position the hitch on the frame and install fasteners as shown in the parts diagram. Note: Some spare tires may need to be lowered and repositioned for hitch installation.
1. Remove the bumper, leaving brackets attached to the frame, and disconnect bumper wiring. 2. Remove bumper brackets from the frame and remove bumper wiring guides from the brackets. 3. If the vehicle uses a cradle storage system for the spare tire, mark the spare tire carrier 1/8" inboard of the outer frame edge, lower the spare tire, and cut off the carrier along the marked line. 4. Position the receiver on the frame and loosely install bumper brackets using three M12 bolts and fasteners per side, with receiver brackets positioned between bumper brackets and frame. 5. Reinstall the bumper on bumper brackets with original bolts (pre-1994 models use three 1/2" washers at each bolt location as spacers). 6. Raise the spare tire back into position and secure. Reconnect bumper wiring. 7. Torque M12 fasteners to 79 lb.-ft and all 1/2" fasteners to 110 lb.-ft.
No. The manual explicitly states "NO DRILLING REQUIRED" for this hitch.
Only if your vehicle uses an early model cradle storage system for the spare tire. If so, mark the spare tire carrier 1/8" inboard of the outer frame edge, lower the spare tire, and cut off the carrier along the marked line. This step applies only to Step Bumper models with cradle storage systems.
The hitch includes: 6 conical toothed washers (1/2"), 6 M12–1.75 x 50 mm hex bolts, 6 M12–1.75 hex nuts, 2 hex flange nuts (HFN 1213), 12 FW12 flat washers, and 2 1/2–13 x 1 3/4 hex bolts.
M12 fasteners must be torqued to 79 lb.-ft.
All 1/2" fasteners must be torqued to 110 lb.-ft.
The hitch weight is 38 lbs.
The manual does not provide specific capacity values in the source document. However, it states: "DO NOT EXCEED VEHICLE MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDED TOWING CAPACITY." You must consult your vehicle's owner manual or the manufacturer for the correct towing limits.
Periodically check the receiver hitch to ensure that all fasteners are tight and that all structural components are sound. This is a routine maintenance requirement to ensure safe operation.

Yes, a compatible bike rack, cargo carrier or other accessory with a 2" x 2" shank can generally be used. Make sure the accessory does not exceed the hitch’s tongue weight rating, the vehicle’s limits or the accessory manufacturer’s capacity.
