Whatever your task at hand -- whether it's launching that boat before daybreak, setting up your camper before the rush or getting a final load to the dump before close -- CURT class 3 trailer hitches offer the strength needed for serious towing. They make it easy to hitch up and Bring It, offering a vehicle-specific fit and the weight capacity to handle a variety of trailers. Custom class 3 hitches are the most common type of receiver hitch for pickup trucks and SUVs. Because of their weight range, they are also found on full-size cars, crossovers and minivans. Each custom-fit class 3 hitch package is made for vehicle-specific mounting. This particular kit fits certain years of the Buick Envision (see application info to verify vehicle compatibility). It provides a weight carrying capacity of 3,500 lbs. GTW and 525 lbs. TW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. To ensure that CURT class 3 receiver hitches have what it takes for serious trailering, they are designed using a hands-on approach and are constructed with rugged, high-strength steel and precise welding. We also protect our class 3 hitches in a co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and black powder coat for superior resistance to rust, chipping and UV damage.

Yes, CURT part number 13292 is designed for 2016 and current model year Buick Envision SUVs. The hitch is a weight-carrying style with a maximum trailer weight capacity of 3,500 lbs and tongue weight capacity of 525 lbs.
Yes. The manual states the hitch fits 2016 and current model year Buick Envision SUVs, which means it is compatible with all model years from 2016 onwards.
The maximum trailer weight capacity is 3,500 lbs and the maximum tongue weight capacity is 525 lbs. However, you must never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity, which may be lower than these limits.
You will need: a T15 torxbit, flat head screwdriver, 11/16" socket, 15mm deep well socket, ratchet, torque wrench, and safety glasses. A 7/16" fishwire is also required for installation but is included with the hitch.
Two people may be required to ease installation. The manual recommends having a second person available to help, though it does not state that two people are absolutely mandatory.
No. The manual explicitly states "NO DRILLING REQUIRED" for this installation.
The manual does not mention disconnecting the battery. Based on the installation steps provided, battery disconnection does not appear to be required for this hitch installation.
The first step is to remove the two screws holding the hitch cover panel to the bumper using a T15 torxbit. Then remove the five fascia tabs along the hitch cover panel using a flat head screwdriver. Remove the cover and save it for optional re-installation.
Remove two screws holding the bumper fascia using a T15 torxbit and save them for re-installation. Also use a 15mm deep well socket to remove one M10 flange nut from the bottom of the driver side bumper beam attachment location, and repeat on the passenger side. Save these nuts for re-installation.
The 7/16" fishwire is used to guide the carriage bolt and spacer through the access hole and out the rearmost hole in the driver and passenger side frame rails. The fishwire helps position the hitch correctly before final fastening.
Gently pull the fascia down and raise the hitch into position while guiding the fishwires through the mounting holes. The hardware may need to be temporarily pushed into the frame to position the hitch over the bumper beam studs. Leave the fishwires attached during this process.
All 7/16" hardware must be torqued to 59 ft-lbs.
All M10 hardware must be torqued to 40 ft-lbs.
Leave the fasteners loose initially. After removing the fishwires, loosely secure the 7/16" nuts and secure the existing M10 nuts onto the bumper beam studs. Only after the hitch is properly positioned should you torque all 7/16" hardware to 59 ft-lbs and all M10 hardware to 40 ft-lbs.
Yes. Reinstalling the hitch cover panel is optional. If you choose to reinstall it, secure the screws with a T15 torxbit socket.
Safety glasses must be worn at all times while installing this product.
All non-trailer loads applied to this hitch must be supported by CURT 18050 stabilizing straps. Failure to properly support non-trailer loads will void the product warranty.
Periodically check the receiver hitch to ensure all fasteners are tight and all structural components are sound. This ongoing inspection helps maintain the integrity and safety of the installation.
The kit includes: two 7/16-14 UNC carriage bolts (part 10-10282), two 0.250 x 0.88 x 2.25" square hole spacers (CM-SP2), two 7/16-14 UNC serrated flange nuts (part 20-00103), and two 7/16" fishwires.
Yes. The manual explicitly states: "BEFORE YOU BEGIN INSTALLATION, READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY." This ensures you understand the complete process and have all necessary tools and information before starting work.
