No drilling is required. The hitch uses existing M10 hardware already on the vehicle. However, trimming is required: the rear bumper fascia must be trimmed, caulk around the bumper beam must be trimmed, and the underbody panel must be trimmed to 3-1/2" wide x 1-3/8" tall.
All M10 hardware (three nuts on each side of the vehicle) must be torqued to 32 lb-ft.

This sequence allows safe access to the hitch mounting points.
In Step 9, raise the hitch into position over the existing M10 screws on both sides of the vehicle. Place the bumper beam over the hitch. Loosely install the three M10 nuts removed in Step 8 on both sides. Ensure electrical connectors are clear of the hitch and bumper beam during this process.
