The hitch includes: 6 x 1/2" flange nuts (part 20-00062), 6 x 1/2" carriage bolts (part 10-10278), 6 x CM-SP10 spacers (0.250 x 1.00 x 2.50" square hole), and 6 x 1/2" fishwire hardware. The fishwire is used during installation to thread the bolts and spacers through the enlarged holes.
1. Temporarily raise the hitch into position, align mounting holes, mark the forwardmost holes, lower the hitch, and enlarge the marked holes using a die grinder. 2. Use fishwire to thread 2 CM-SP10 spacers and 2 carriage bolts through the enlarged holes on both sides, then reverse fishwire 1 spacer and 1 bolt through the enlarged hole on both sides. 3. Raise the hitch into position and secure with 1/2" flange nuts. 4. Torque all 1/2" hardware to 110 lb-ft.
Periodically check the receiver hitch to ensure all fasteners are tight and all structural components are sound. This ongoing inspection helps maintain the safety and integrity of the installation.
