Each custom-fit class 3 hitch package is made for vehicle-specific mounting. This particular kit fits certain years of the Jaguar F-Pace (see application info to verify vehicle compatibility). It provides a weight carrying capacity of 6,000 lbs. GTW and 900 lbs. TW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. To ensure that CURT class 3 receiver hitches have what it takes for serious trailering, they are designed using a hands-on approach and are constructed with rugged, high-strength steel and precise welding. We also protect our class 3 hitches in a co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and black powder coat for superior resistance to rust, chipping and UV damage.

Yes, trimming is required. You must mark out and trim a 3.25-inch by 6-inch section of the underbody panel using masking tape and aviation shears. These dimensions are approximate; confirm the exact section prior to reinstallation. The trimmed panel is set aside for later reinstallation.
On the underbody panel, remove 3 screws using a 10mm socket and 4 screws using a screwdriver. After removal, mark and trim the 3.25-inch by 6-inch section, then set the panel aside for later reinstallation.
Inside the wheel well, locate and remove 2 screws using a screwdriver. Once removed, pull back the wheel well to reveal 5 additional screws. Remove 2 of these screws using a T25 torxbit socket and 3 using a screwdriver. Set the wheel well accent piece aside for later reinstallation.
Locate and remove the plastic cover next to each tail light, revealing 1 screw on each side. Remove these screws using an 8mm socket. Locate 1 plastic screw on each side and remove using a screwdriver. Use a plastic pry tool to remove the remaining plastic push pins. Set all pieces aside for later reinstallation.
Gently remove the bumper fascia starting at the outside of the vehicle and working towards the rear. Locate and unplug 2 electrical plugs on the bumper fascia. Set the fascia aside for later reinstallation.
The bumper beam is secured with 8 M14 bolts (4 on each side) that attach to existing weld nuts on the vehicle frame. These bolts are removed and reused to attach the hitch. You will also remove 5 screws along the panel using an 8mm socket.
The 8 M14 bolts must be torqued to 126 ft-lbs. First, loosely fasten all bolts while lining up the hitch holes with the bumper beam holes, then torque them to the specified value.
Use a 21mm socket to remove and install the 8 M14 bolts (4 on each side of the bumper beam).
Reinstall following steps 1-5 in reverse order. This means: reinstall the bumper beam and panel fasteners, reconnect the bumper fascia electrical plugs and reinstall the fascia, reinstall the tail light area covers and screws, reinstall the wheel well accent piece and screws, and finally reinstall the underbody panel and trim.
Safety glasses must be worn at all times while installing this product. Before you begin installation, read all instructions thoroughly. Using proper tools will greatly improve the quality of the install and reduce the time required.
All non-trailer loads applied to this product must be supported by CURT 18050 stabilizing straps. Failure to properly support non-trailer loads will void the product warranty.
Periodically check the receiver hitch to ensure all fasteners are tight and all structural components are sound. This ongoing inspection helps maintain the integrity and safety of the installation.
CURT Manufacturing warrants this product to be free of defects in material and/or workmanship at the time of retail purchase by the original purchaser. If the product is found to be defective, CURT may repair or replace it at their option when returned prepaid with proof of purchase. Alteration to, misuse of, or improper installation voids the warranty.
