Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. The hitch includes 4 HHCS M12×1.5×25 bolts (part 10-10511) and 4 conical washers (part 30-00149). These fasteners attach the hitch frame brackets to the vehicle frame rails using existing tapped holes in the frame.

1. Position the hitch frame brackets against the inner surface of each vehicle frame rail. 2. Align the holes in the hitch frame brackets with the existing tapped holes in the vehicle frame. 3. Place a 1/2" conical washer on each 12mm bolt. 4. Insert the bolts through the brackets into the frame holes. 5. Torque all 12mm fasteners to 83 lb-ft.
All 12mm fasteners must be torqued to 83 lb-ft.
The hitch may require exhaust modification depending on your vehicle's configuration. If the tail pipe touches or rattles against the hitch cross tube while driving, you will need to reform the hanger bracket welded to the vehicle frame to pull the tailpipe up and create additional clearance. Consult a qualified technician if you are unsure how to perform this modification.
