It provides a weight carrying capacity of 3,500 lbs. GTW and 350 lbs. TW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. You must temporarily remove the tail lights, bumper cover, and bumper to access the hitch mounting points. These are reinstalled in reverse order after the hitch is secured.
1. Remove 3 bottom bumper cover fasteners with a T27 socket and 10 wheel well fasteners with a Phillips screwdriver. 2. Remove 2 fasteners at the top of the bumper cover hidden behind the wheel well with a T27 socket. 3. Remove 4 top bumper cover and 6 taillight fasteners with a T27 socket. 4. Remove 2 final bumper cover fasteners below the taillight assembly with a T27 socket. Gently pull the sides of the bumper cover away from the vehicle until detached. 5. Disconnect the harness at the bumper and place the cover aside.
After removing the bumper cover, remove the 6 bolts attaching the bumper using a 15mm socket. Disconnect the harness at the bumper before setting it aside.
Raise the hitch into position and reinstall the bumper over the hitch. Loosely install the factory bolts first. Then torque all M10 fasteners to 45 ft-lb using a torque wrench. Finally, reinstall the bumper cover, harness, and taillights in reverse order.

Make sure the accessory does not exceed the hitch’s tongue weight rating, the vehicle’s limits or the accessory manufacturer’s capacity.
