For tough jobs and off-road vehicle recovery applications, the CURT D-ring shackle mount is a hardworking extension of your truck. It features a solid steel shank for maximum strength and has a weight capacity rating of 13,000 lbs. straight-line pull (limited to lowest-rated towing component). This makes it the perfect accessory for difficult vehicle recovery and other straight-pull towing applications. The shank also measures 2" x 2", allowing this trailer hitch mount to be compatible with larger pickup trucks and any class 4 or class 5 trailer hitch with a 2" x 2" receiver tube. It offers a perfect fit for all CURT Xtra Duty class 5 hitches (5/8" hitch pin & clip sold separately). The D-ring shackle mount features a threaded pin for easy attachment of the shackle, and it is compatible with the CURT vehicle recovery strap #83066. It also comes with a durable, corrosion-resistant carbide powder coat finish, keeping it well protected against the elements, as well as against nicks, scratches and scuffing.

The CURT 45832 is designed for vehicles with a 2" receiver hitch. If your vehicle has a 2" hitch receiver, this product will fit. Check your vehicle's hitch receiver size before purchasing. The product has a 2" shank that slides into the receiver.
The CURT 45832 is rated for 13,000 lbs. straight-line pull. It is designed only for vehicle recovery and must not be used for towing. Never exceed the rated capacity, your vehicle's Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR), or your hitch receiver rating.
No tools are required for installation.
The CURT 45832 includes one D-ring shackle mount with a 2" shank, a receiver tube, a D-ring shackle, a shackle bolt, and a clip. The hitch pin and tow strap are sold separately and must be purchased separately.
1. Slide the 2" shank of the D-ring shackle mount into your vehicle's 2" receiver hitch. 2. Align the hole in the shank with the hole in the receiver hitch. 3. Insert your hitch pin (sold separately) through the aligned holes. 4. Secure the hitch pin on the opposite side with the clip provided with your hitch pin. The installation is then complete.
It depends on the style and size of your tow strap. You feed the tow strap through the opening in the shackle. If your tow strap is too large to fit through the opening, you may need to remove the shackle from the shank by loosening the shackle bolt, attaching the strap, and then reinstalling the shackle.
The 7/8" shackle bolt must be torqued to 30 lb-ft. The bolt should be fully threaded into the shackle and flush with the outside of the shackle when installed. Failure to fully tighten the shackle bolt may result in loss of attachment, property damage or personal injury.

Check for damaged parts before each use. Carefully check that the product will operate properly and perform its intended function. Never operate the product with a damaged or worn part. Replace damaged or worn parts immediately.
Inspect the unit for proper operation and worn, damaged or missing parts, and replace as required. Replace the unit's wear when it exceeds 1/8" from the original surface. Periodically apply a small amount of grease or anti-seize to the shackle bolt threads.
