The CURT Double Lock EZr gooseneck hitch boasts easier installation, easier operation and 30,000 lbs. of towing capacity to make towing that oversize gooseneck trailer look easy. To make things even easier, this gooseneck hitch kit includes both the under-bed gooseneck hitch and the vehicle-specific installation brackets. The combined kit makes it simple to get your truck ready for towing by eliminating the need to purchase two different parts. It includes the #60611 gooseneck hitch and the #60624 installation brackets to fit certain years of the Chevy Silverado or GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD (for a complete listing of compatibility, see the CURT application guide). Installation of the Double Lock EZr requires only one person, using retainer clips to keep bolts secure and the center section fully supported while mounting it into place. It also uses our patented center locator to eliminate meticulous measuring and ensure error-free drilling. The EZr also uses carriage bolts whenever possible for one-wrench tightening. Operation of the Double Lock EZr is simple and safe. It uses two locking pins and a 3/8" diameter handle to keep the gooseneck ball locked into the center section. The ball features a flip-over design that allows you to store it inside the receiver hole when not in use, keeping your truck bed completely free of obstructions. With a fortified center section, this hitch offers a gross trailer weight capacity up to 30,000 lbs. and a vertical load limit of 7,500 lbs., giving you the power you need to get the job done right. This CURT Double Lock EZr gooseneck hitch kit features a durable A-coat finish and includes a limited lifetime warranty. On two-wheel drive trucks, the inverted ball may interfere with the top of the differential, especially when the truck is loaded. A clearance check must be performed both when the truck is loaded and unloaded to verify there is no interference. If interference is found, the installation may not be suitable for your vehicle, and you should consult the manufacturer or an installer.
On short bed models, you must check for adequate turning clearance between the front of all trailers and the truck cab. The manual provides a clearance calculation formula on page 4: (cab to ball center) minus (coupler overhang, if any) minus (half the trailer width) should equal a positive number. If the result is negative, the trailer will interfere with the cab during turning. Removal of rear window accessories may be required to achieve clearance.

The rear cross arm must be rotated vertically after sliding it between the frame and the bottom of the truck bed. The outside tapped holes in the rear cross arm are offset 1/8 inch and must be rotated so the holes are offset towards the frame (not away from it). A crescent wrench can be used as a lever to ease the rotating process.
The front cross arm must be inserted so the leg without holes is against the bottom of the truck bed, and the leg with holes faces the rear of the vehicle. A crescent wrench may be used to bend the metal flange below the bed outward to allow the front cross arm to slide into position.
The center locator is a trim shield that must be inserted into the center section cylinder prior to installation of the 60624 subkit. It is used as a reference for drilling the 4-inch hole in the truck bed during the 60611 center section installation. After drilling, it is removed by pulling it up through the hole.
Two pushnut bolt retainers are included as an optional 'helping hand' to ease the installation process. They are used by inserting one 1/2-inch by 1 1/2-inch carriage bolt through each of the centermost slots in the center section on the side that fastens to the front cross arm, then pushing a bolt retainer onto the two carriage bolts with the serrations angled away from the center section. Use one of the included spacers as a tool to push the bolt retainers into position.
On 2015 and older models, fishwires are attached to two 5/8-inch by 2-inch carriage bolts with CM-SP9 spacers to position them through the frame access hole. The fishwires are left attached to prevent loss of hardware inside the frame. After careful removal of the fishwires, the side plate is attached to the frame with 5/8-inch flange nuts.
On 2016 and newer models, the side plates (C and D) are loosely installed using the supplied 16mm bolts (M16 - 2.00 x 35 HHCS GR. 8.8), 5/8-inch lock washers, and 5/8-inch washers into the existing weldnuts in the vehicle frame. The side plate should be slid rearward as far as possible to ensure the hitch is square on the vehicle. Repeat on the other side.
Verify that the sides of the center section are in the same location on the bed ribs. This ensures the hitch is centered left to right on the truck bed.
No drilling is required for the 60624 subkit itself. However, drilling is required for the 60611 center section installation, which includes drilling a pilot hole, two 5/8-inch holes for safety chain loops, and a 4-inch hole through the truck bed.
Three drilling operations are required: (1) Drill a 3/16-inch pilot hole from underneath the truck bed through the hole in the center locator using a 3/16-inch drill bit. (2) Drill two 5/8-inch holes for safety chain loops from underneath the truck bed using a 5/8-inch hole saw; a small right angle drill with a short pilot bit eases drilling over the exhaust. (3) Drill a 4-inch hole from the top of the truck using a 4-inch hole saw, taking care not to drill through the center locator. Use cutting fluid to ease the 4-inch hole process.
The two 5/8-inch safety chain loop holes should be drilled through the low rib sections in the truck bed, not the high rib sections. Use the center section as a drill guide.

The front cross arm is attached to the center section using four 1/2-inch by 1 1/2-inch carriage bolts (part 1/2-13 x 1 1/2, GR8) and four 1/2-inch hex flange nuts (part HFN 1213, GR8). The carriage bolt over the fuel tank should be inserted through the front cross arm with a CM-SP12 spacer (0.250 x 1.00 x 2.00 inch square hole spacer).
The rear cross arm is attached to the center section using four 1/2-inch by 1 1/2-inch hex bolts (part 1/2 - 13 x 1 1/2 HEX, GR8) with four 1/2-inch conical toothed washers (part 1/2 conical toothed washer).

The rear flange of each side plate is attached to the rear cross arm using a 1/2-inch by 1 1/2-inch hex bolt (part 1/2 - 13 x 1 1/2 HEX, GR8) with a 1/2-inch conical toothed washer (part 1/2 conical toothed washer).
Before towing the first time, verify: (1) adequate turning clearance between the truck cab/box corners and trailer(s); (2) minimum 6 inches clearance between the bottom of the trailer overhang and the top of the box sides; (3) the inverted ball will not interfere with the differential top when hauling heavy loads (especially important on two-wheel drive models); (4) all hardware is torqued to proper specification; (5) trailer safety chain length has only enough slack to allow full turning without interference; (6) trailer attachments to safety chain loops are secure and cannot be shaken free during towing.

The handle must be in the lock position for towing. Never operate the vehicle with the handle in the unlocked position. To lock, rotate the handle counter-clockwise until the locking pin snaps back into position.
