The CURT QuickPin trailer coupler is a revolutionary coupler design, doing away with the traditional latch mechanism for simple, stress-free trailer hookup. Most couplers use a complicated hinging latch that's prone to wear out and become corroded, leading to difficulties and frustration. Instead of a latch, QuickPin uses a simple hitch pin to create a safe, reliable, hassle-free towing connection. It's as easy as dropping the trailer tongue onto the hitch ball, inserting the QuickPin hitch pin, and that's it! No more wrestling with a rusty latch, and no adjustment or tightening needed. This trailer hitch coupler is fully tested according to SAE J684 specifications. It is rated for 3,500 pounds and fits any standard 2-inch diameter trailer ball. The coupler channel can be mounted on a 2-inch wide trailer tongue beam, featuring standard mounting holes to fit most existing bolt patterns (mounting hardware not included). It is also finished in a durable black powder coating for lasting rust resistance. NOTE: This coupler comes with a 1/2-inch pin that must be used when connecting the trailer. It may not be replaced with a different 1/2-inch pin.

The coupler has a gross trailer weight (GTW) capacity of 3,500 lbs. and a tongue weight (TW) capacity of 350 lbs. Never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity.
CURT offers three versions: #25470 fits 2" channel, #25471 fits 2-1/2" channel, and #25472 fits 3" channel trailers. Verify your trailer tongue channel size before ordering.
You need four 1/2" grade 5 hex bolts and four 1/2" grade 5 nylock nuts. These are not included with the coupler and must be purchased separately.
You will need a ratchet, torque wrench, socket set, socket extension, and box end wrench set. For a complete tools reference guide, visit curtmfg.com/trailer-hitch-installation.
Bolt the coupler to the front of the trailer tongue using the four 1/2" grade 5 bolts and nylock nuts. Use all available side mounting holes. Do not use the pin guide hole as a mounting hole. Torque all hardware to 55 ft.-lbs.
Torque all 1/2" grade 5 bolts to 55 ft.-lbs. This applies to all three coupler versions (#25470, #25471, #25472).
Remove the pin and clip from the pin guide hole. Lower the coupler over the trailer ball until the ball is fully seated in the ball pocket. Insert the provided pin through the pin guide hole and fasten the clip through the end of the pin. If the pin does not pass through the coupler completely when the ball is fully seated, do not tow.
Block the trailer's wheels. Remove the pin and clip from the pin guide hole and raise the trailer off the trailer ball. Place the pin and clip back into the pin guide hole.
No. You must only use the pin and clip provided with the coupler. Using an alternate pin and clip could result in property damage, serious bodily injury, and/or death.
Do not tow. If the pin does not pass through the coupler completely when the ball is fully seated, there is a problem with the installation or coupler alignment. Correct the issue before towing.
The #25470 fits trailers with a 2" channel tongue. The #25471 fits 2-1/2" channel and #25472 fits 3" channel. Measure your trailer tongue channel size to confirm compatibility.
No. Four 1/2" grade 5 hex bolts and four 1/2" grade 5 nylock nuts are required but not included and must be purchased separately.
Torque all 1/2" bolts to 55 ft.-lbs. using a torque wrench.
The coupler supports a gross trailer weight of 3,500 lbs. and tongue weight of 350 lbs., but never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity.
Ensure the pin passes completely through the coupler when the ball is fully seated. If it does not, do not tow. Always use only the pin and clip provided with the coupler.
