This kit allows a motorhome or RV dinghy-towing a vehicle to power the signal lights only on the towed vehicle without power feeding back to the RV or feeding to the rest of the towed vehicle's electrical system. It is rated for 3 amps max per diode block and 24V max per diode block. This kit requires a trailer-side 4-way flat connector plug with 20' wires (such as the CURT #57220) or similar, depending the length of the towed vehicle.

The RV Harness Diode Block Kit is used to connect the brake and taillight wiring of a towed vehicle to an RV or towing vehicle. It includes diode blocks that manage the electrical signals from the towed vehicle's tail, stop, left turn, and right turn lights, and requires a separate 4-wire flat connector (part #48245, sold separately) to complete the installation.
The manual does not specify vehicle compatibility or exclusions. Contact Curt Manufacturing at 877.287.8634 or curtmfg.com to confirm fitment for your specific towed vehicle before purchasing.
The kit includes diode blocks. The 4-wire flat connector (part #48245) is sold separately and must be purchased to complete the installation. The manual does not specify other included hardware or components.
You will need a wire cutter and a crimping tool to cut the brake and taillight wires and crimp spade terminals onto them. The manual does not specify the exact type or size of crimping tool required.
1. Locate the brake and taillight wires at the rear of the towed vehicle. 2. Cut and crimp spade terminals on each wire. 3. Insert the diode blocks. 4. Install and crimp the remaining 4-wire flat wires. All steps must be followed to ensure the harness functions properly.
GD (white wire) = Ground; TM (brown wire) = Tail; LT (yellow wire) = Left turn; RT (green wire) = Right turn; VS = Vehicle stop. The diagram shows that A is the driver side stop light assembly and B is the passenger side stop light assembly.
The battery connection must be fuse-protected with a maximum 10-amp fuse. Exceeding this rating can cause loss of warranty, overheating, and potential fire. Do not exceed the product rating or the tow vehicle lamp load rating, whichever is lower.
The manual states that you must not exceed the product rating or the tow vehicle lamp load rating, whichever is lower, but does not specify the product's maximum lamp load rating. Contact Curt Manufacturing at 877.287.8634 for this specification.
