A CURT Quick Plug brake controller wiring adapter is one of the fastest and easiest ways to plug your brake controller into your vehicle. It requires no cutting or splicing! Just insert the vehicle-specific plug end into the OEM vehicle?s factory brake controller socket. The other end plugs into your CURT trailer brake controller. Quick Plug harnesses are available for a variety of vehicles and are unique for each vehicle application to provide the easiest possible installation. This particular brake controller harness fits certain years of the Ford E150, E250, E350 Super Duty, E450 Super Duty, Expedition, F250 Super Duty, F350 Super Duty, F450 Super Duty, F550 Super Duty and Lincoln Navigator (see application info to verify fitment). CURT Quick Plug harnesses are compatible with most CURT brake controls and can be used as a replacement or for a new control unit installation. They're also great for towing all types of trailers with electric brakes. For versatile mounting of your trailer brake controller this Quick Plug wire harness measures two feet long. It also features a slit loom sleeve to keep the wires protected against crushing and abrasions. CURT Quick Plug wire plug-in adapters are made with 12-gauge wires for a reliable connection and braking, and come with zip ties to keep the harness contained and out of sight.

Using a trim panel removal tool, locate the notch in the panel and pry it out and away from the dash. 4. Take care not to damage the trim or locking tabs on the back. 5. Separate the housings attaching the panel and set the panel aside.
If your vehicle has a factory brake control, locate the grey vehicle brake control harness connector plugged into the back of the factory brake control unit. You may need to unplug additional harnesses to access it. Then proceed to Step 4 to connect the CURT harness. Note: Disconnecting the factory brake control will cause a fault code to display on the message center of the dash.
On vehicles without a factory brake control, the grey vehicle brake control harness connector is located on the back of the trim panel directly to the left of the access panel.
Carefully pull the housing towards the access panel and insert the connector on the CURT brake control harness into the vehicle connector. Make sure the connector is fully inserted with locking tabs in place.
Route the brake control harness along the back of the dash and out the bottom to the brake control unit. Tip: Use a flashlight to shine light up through the bottom of the dash to locate a hole to exit the dash.
Insert the brake control harness's black connector into the brake control's quick plug connector. Secure the brake control harness with the provided cable ties, avoiding any pinch points.
After the brake control harness is installed, plug in all connectors that were not used back into the original housings and reinstall the access panel. Then complete the installation using the brake control unit's instructions, mount the unit as directed, and perform test procedures as instructed in the brake control user manual.
