Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.
Shop CURT 2-inch trailer hitches at TowUniverse for vehicle-specific fitment, trusted towing performance and access to the accessories needed to complete your towing setup.

A weight-distributing hitch has a maximum gross trailer weight of 6000 lb. (2721 kg) and a maximum tongue weight of 750 lb. (340 kg). Do not exceed the lower of your vehicle manufacturer's towing rating or these limits.
Required tools include: ratchet, safety glasses, sockets (¾", 16 mm, 19 mm, 20 mm), 6-inch socket extension, torque wrench, lubricant or soapy water, wire brush, exhaust removal pliers, flat-head screwdriver, tape measure, marker, and utility knife.
Yes. You must lower the spare tire before installation. Open the rear hatch to access the spare tire winch, use an M20 socket to lower it, and set it aside. After hitch installation is complete, raise the spare tire back into position, pushing it forward to provide additional clearance from the hitch.
Yes. You must lower the vehicle exhaust before installation. Remove the rear and side hangers and support the exhaust to prevent damage. Spraying lubricant or soapy water on the metal hanger rod and rubber isolator helps with removal. After hitch installation, reinstall the exhaust.
Yes. The exterior trim panel is located on the driver side of the vehicle. Remove the 3 push rivets using a flat-head screwdriver, then carefully pull the trim panel to remove it. Set it aside for reinstallation after the hitch is installed.
Yes. Using a tape measure, marker, and utility knife, you must measure, mark, and trim the lower fascia. Trim 1/2 inch from the bottom and 5-1/2 inches from the side as shown in Figure 2. This is a permanent modification required for proper hitch fitment.
The manual does not indicate that drilling is required. The hitch fasteners are inserted through existing hitch brackets and vehicle frame welds or existing weldnuts. However, the manual does require trimming of the lower fascia using a utility knife.
The installation sequence is: (1) lower spare tire, (2) remove exterior trim panel, (3) trim fascia, (4) lower vehicle exhaust, (5) install hitch A (driver side first with ¾ socket, then passenger side with 19 mm socket), (6) install hitch B (bottom side with 16 mm socket, hand tighten), (7) torque all fasteners to specification, (8) raise exhaust, spare tire, and trim panel.
M10 CL10.9 fasteners must be tightened to 40 Lb.-Ft. (54 N·M) using a torque wrench.
1/2 GR5 fasteners must be tightened to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N·M) using a torque wrench.
M12 GR 8.8 fasteners must be tightened to 68 Lb.-Ft. (92 N·M) using a torque wrench.
The hitch includes: (2) hex bolts ½-13 x 4.50 GR5, (5) conical washers ½" (p/n 01292008), (2) hex nuts ½-13, (1) bolt M12X1.75X120 CL8.8, (1) flat washer ½" hardened, (1) hex nut M12X1.75 CL8, (4) bolts M10X1.25X30 CL10.9, and (4) conical washers 7/16" (p/n 01292007). Sort hardware before installation to keep correct conical washers with coordinated bolts.
Items 7 and 8 (M10 bolts and conical washers for hitch B on the bottom side) should be hand-tightened initially. All fasteners are then torqued to specification in Step 7 using a torque wrench.
Yes. It may be necessary to clean debris and corrosion from existing weldnuts in the frame using a wire brush before inserting fasteners through them.
Always wear safety glasses when installing the hitch. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. Support the exhaust to prevent damage during removal. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water and exhaust fume entry.
Check that all fasteners are tight and the hitch is securely mounted to the vehicle. Verify that the ball is properly tightened. Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners remain tight. Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure when towing.
Check the hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual emphasizes periodic checking to ensure the hitch remains securely mounted to your vehicle.
Always wear your seatbelt. Slow down when towing and never exceed any posted speed limit. Load the trailer heavier in front. If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. Do not apply your brakes and do not speed up. Always read and follow all warnings and instructions for your vehicle and other accessories used with the hitch.
A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not continue towing with damaged equipment.
The average installation time for professional installers is 40 minutes. If you do not feel comfortable performing this installation on your own or are in need of assistance, contact a professional installer.
The hitch includes a Limited Lifetime Warranty covering material defects in material and workmanship, ordinary wear and tear excepted. The warranty is valid only if products are installed, maintained, and used according to instructions. Product replacement is the sole remedy. Verify all fasteners are tight and the hitch is securely mounted. Check the ball is properly tightened. Check the hitch frequently to ensure fasteners remain tight during use.
Clean debris and corrosion from the existing weldnuts in the frame using a wire brush before attempting to insert fasteners. This will clear the weldnut openings and allow fasteners to pass through properly.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners remain tight. If fasteners have loosened, retighten them to the specified torque values: M10 CL10.9 to 40 Lb.-Ft. (54 N·M), 1/2 GR5 to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N·M), and M12 GR 8.8 to 68 Lb.-Ft. (92 N·M).
Verify that the lower fascia has been trimmed correctly: 1/2 inch from the bottom and 5-1/2 inches from the side as shown in Figure 2. Ensure the spare tire is pushed forward when raised to provide additional clearance from the hitch. Check that all fasteners are properly torqued and the hitch is fully seated.
