Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.
Shop CURT 2-inch trailer hitches at TowUniverse for vehicle-specific fitment, trusted towing performance and access to the accessories needed to complete your towing setup.

The Draw-tite Ultra Frame® Class 4 Trailer Hitch, 2" Square Receiver, Black for Select Ford F-100, Ford F-150, Ford F-250, Ford F-250 HD, Ford F-350 41904 (Part #DT41904) Drilling is required for installation. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
No. Part 41904 is designed for Ford Pickup trucks with an 8' box only, or a 6' box with extended cab. It must NOT be installed on vehicles with a 6' box and regular cab. Installing this hitch on a 6' box regular cab vehicle violates the design specification.
No, not with a standard spare tire. The manual states it will not be necessary to relocate the factory spare tire underneath the box. However, if you use a larger than standard tire as a spare, relocation may be required. On some models equipped with a 16" spare tire, you may need to adjust the spare tire cradle to retain under-vehicle tire stowage after hitch installation.
You will need wrenches in the following sizes: 18mm, 21mm, 3/4", 13/16", and 7/8". You will also need a 9/16" drill bit. A torque wrench is required to tighten fasteners to the specified 120 Lb.-Ft. (163 N·M).
The fastener kit 01130-710 is included and contains: (6) 9/16" X 1-3/4" GR5 hex bolts, (2) 9/16" X 1-1/2" GR5 hex bolts, (8) flanged locknuts, and (4) 3/8" X 1-1/2" X 3" blocks. All 9/16" GR5 fasteners must be tightened to 120 Lb.-Ft. (163 N·M).
You do not need to remove the entire bumper. If your vehicle has a factory step bumper, you must remove and discard only the rearmost bolt attaching each bumper bracket to the frame side rails. The reinforcement brackets are then installed into the inside end of each frame rail using the existing holes. If your vehicle does not have a factory step bumper, the reinforcement brackets bolt directly into the existing holes in the frame rails.
1. Install reinforcement brackets into the inside of each frame rail using existing holes and 9/16" X 1.50" hex bolts and locknuts (remove rearmost bumper bracket bolt first if vehicle has factory step bumper). 2. Center the receiver on the vehicle frame with notches in the hitch flanges positioned over the rivets in the frame. 3. Using the receiver as a template, drill three 9/16" holes into the bottom of each frame rail. 4. Install all fasteners as shown, placing blocks inside the frame rails with wider sides positioned inward, away from the frame rails. 5. Tighten all 9/16" GR5 fasteners to 120 Lb.-Ft. (163 N·M).
Yes. You must drill three 9/16" holes into the bottom of each frame rail (six holes total) using the receiver as a template. A 9/16" drill bit is required. Do not use a torch to cut these holes.
All 9/16" GR5 fasteners must be tightened to 120 Lb.-Ft. (163 N·M) using a torque wrench. This applies to both the 9/16" X 1-3/4" and 9/16" X 1-1/2" hex bolts.
The hitch has two towing capacities depending on the type of ball mount used: Weight Distributing ball mount supports a maximum gross trailer weight of 12,000 lbs and maximum tongue weight of 1,200 lbs. Weight Carrying ball mount supports a maximum gross trailer weight of 10,000 lbs and maximum tongue weight of 1,000 lbs. Do not exceed the lower of the towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these hitch specifications.
The hitch requires a 5/8" pin and clip.
Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball that has been damaged should be removed and replaced immediately.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual recommends regular inspection to maintain safe operation.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual does not specify an exact interval but emphasizes regular inspection.
No. This hitch is for 8' box (all models) and 6' box extended cab only. Do not install on 6' box regular cab vehicles.
No, not with a standard spare tire. Larger or 16" spare tires may require relocation or cradle adjustment.
You need wrenches in sizes: 18mm, 21mm, 3/4", 13/16", and 7/8". A torque wrench is also required.
All 9/16" GR5 fasteners must be tightened to 120 Lb.-Ft. (163 N·M) using a torque wrench.
Wear eye protection. Do not cut holes with a torch. Work safely beneath the vehicle. Plug all holes if hitch is removed. Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
Yes, a compatible bike rack, cargo carrier or other accessory with a 2" x 2" shank can generally be used. Make sure the accessory does not exceed the hitch’s tongue weight rating, the vehicle’s limits or the accessory manufacturer’s capacity. Account for the combined weight of the carrier and everything loaded onto it.
