Rugged Liner was founded on the premise that truck bed protection should be as tough as the trucks it goes into. The company began manufacturing bed liners and tonneau covers in the United States after seeing too many products fail under genuine working conditions, and it still controls every step of production rather than outsourcing. Its customers are people who use a pickup rather than commute in one: contractors hauling equipment, landscapers, farmers, and owners loading gear for the weekend.
The core product is the truck bed liner, offered in under-rail and over-rail configurations. Each one is moulded to the exact dimensions of a specific make, model and bed length, so it drops in without universal approximations, gaps at the bulkhead or trimming at the wheel arches. The material is high-density polyethylene with reinforced composite construction, chosen because it absorbs impact instead of transmitting it, which is what keeps a liner from cracking when a pallet of block lands in the bed or when temperatures swing from summer heat to a hard winter freeze.
The range grew outward from there in response to what truck owners asked for. Tonneau covers include the E-Series hard folding covers and the HC3 premium hard fold, both built for a weather-tight seal and secure closure, along with tri-fold and soft folding cover options for owners who want lighter weight and easier removal. Wheel well liners shield the inner arches from stone chips, road salt and the rust that follows.

If your truck came with optional factory wheel well liners, you must remove all 11 factory fasteners using an 8mm socket/driver before installing the Rugged Liner liners. Keep all factory fasteners. When installing the new liners, use the push lock pins for positions 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, and 10 only (not all 10 positions).
Start with the driver side wheel well liner (marked DS). Set it inside the inner panel of the truck's wheel well behind the tire, then follow the tucking and fastening steps. After completing the driver side, repeat the same steps on the passenger side.
The wheel well liner has three parts that must be tucked behind the metal fender lip: (1) the lower cab part, (2) the lower tail part (which also tucks behind the factory rock guard), and (3) the upper part. Each section must be fully seated behind the fender lip before fastening.
Each wheel well liner is secured with 10 push lock pins. These pins are inserted into 8 pre-drilled holes and 2 half moon cutouts in the liner that align with holes in the truck's wheel well. Note: if your truck has OEM factory liners, use pins for positions 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, and 10 only.
