UWS designs and builds heavy-duty truck tool boxes and storage for tradespeople and truck owners. The line covers crossover and side-mount boxes, chest boxes, underbody boxes, transfer tanks and dog boxes. Every aluminum box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, with construction aimed at job-site abuse, road vibration and daily use.
UWS is a leading manufacturer and designer of truck tool boxes and truck accessories, and a Lippert brand. The company's focus is narrow and deliberate: storage that stands up to being opened and slammed shut dozens of times a day, loaded past what looks reasonable, and left outdoors in whatever weather the job brings. Its customers are electricians, plumbers, contractors, farmers, outdoorsmen and truck owners who treat a pickup as a working tool rather than transport.
The catalog covers the full range of bed storage. Crossover boxes sit across the bed behind the cab in single-lid, gull-wing, secure-lock and low-profile styles, so there is a fit whether the priority is capacity, rear visibility or working under a tonneau. Side-mount boxes mount along the bed rails and keep the bed floor free for cargo, while underbody boxes tuck beneath the frame rails of service bodies and flatbeds.
Beyond the bed, UWS makes portable chest boxes that move between vehicles and the shop, transfer tanks and combination tank-and-toolbox units for crews working away from fuel supply, and insulated, ventilated dog boxes for hunters and handlers.
Manufacturing sits at the centre of the brand's identity. Every UWS aluminum tool box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, by tradespeople with decades of experience, and the company's Rooted in Trades initiative is built around that connection to skilled manual work. Boxes use heavy-gauge aluminum, continuous welds at the seams, weather stripping to seal against rain and dust, and locking systems intended to resist tampering. The practical result is storage that keeps tools dry, organized and where they were left.

UWS | Tough. Reliable.
The package includes one truck fender tool box and two keys. Hardware (bolts, flat washers and nylock nuts) is not included and must be purchased separately. You will also need to provide your own drill, ratchet, socket set and tape measure for installation.
For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Clean the product with mild automotive detergent only. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or similar products that may damage the finish. Periodically inspect all mounting hardware, knobs, bolts, screws, straps and locks for signs of wear, corrosion and fatigue, and re-tighten as needed.
The manual does not specify which truck makes, models, years or bed lengths are compatible with this tool box. Contact the manufacturer at 877.287.8634 or consult your dealer to confirm fitment for your specific vehicle before purchasing.
You must purchase bolts, flat washers and nylock nuts separately. The manual does not specify bolt length, diameter or exact quantities, so contact the manufacturer at 877.287.8634 or consult your dealer for the correct hardware specifications for your vehicle before purchasing.
You will need a drill with a 1/4" drill bit, a ratchet, a socket set and a tape measure. Proper tools will improve the quality of installation and reduce installation time.
Yes. Remove the bottom two drawers from the tool box before beginning installation. These drawers are re-installed after the tool box is mounted to the truck bed (Step 1 and Step 3).
Place the tool box on the truck bed with the bottom two drawers removed. Ensure the paddle handle clears the bed rail and the tool box lid opens properly. A custom shim may need to be placed under the tool box so the handle can be accessed. Verify that nothing obstructs the tool box from mounting properly before marking drill holes.
Drill 1/4" holes in all mounting locations: two holes in the lip of the bed rail and two holes in the base of the tool box where the drawers have been removed.
Before drilling into your truck bed, check under your vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut or obstruct any brake or fuel fluid lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks or other components. Take precaution that all fasteners near the fuel tank do not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or other damage during a collision.
Yes. Treat or seal all fasteners and exposed metal in any holes drilled in the vehicle to prevent corrosion. This protects your investment and extends the life of the installation.
Torque specifications depend on bolt size. For metric bolts: M6 = 3 ft-lbs, M8 = 7 ft-lbs, M10 = 16 ft-lbs, M12 = 28 ft-lbs. For SAE bolts: 1/4" = 3 ft-lbs, 5/16" = 7 ft-lbs, 3/8" = 16 ft-lbs, 7/16" = 20 ft-lbs, 1/2" = 28 ft-lbs. These are general guidelines; if purchasing hardware, use the torque specifications provided with that hardware. Tighten all hardware to the recommended torque specifications during installation.
Do not use this product for storing or transporting flammables, explosives, hazardous materials or hazardous waste, including containers of gasoline, solvents, gunpowder, dynamite, propane tanks, acetylene tanks and cutting torches. Danger of explosion.
Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended capacity. The manual does not specify the tool box capacity; contact the manufacturer at 877.287.8634 or consult your dealer for the exact capacity rating.
Yes. This product can reduce the driver's ability to clearly see roadways, vehicular or pedestrian traffic and other objects through the rear and side windows of the vehicle, which may cause an accident. Extra precaution should be taken when driving a vehicle with this product installed.
No. Do not modify this product. Use it only for the purposes for which it was designed. If you have questions regarding the installation, operation, use and limits of the product, consult your dealer.
Ensure all knobs, bolts, screws, straps and locks are firmly secured before every trip. Periodically re-tighten and inspect all components for signs of wear, corrosion and fatigue. With the tool box installed, periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight.
A minimum of four mounting points are required: two on the lip of the bed rail and two on the base of the tool box where the drawers have been removed. At least one bolt and flat washer must be inserted through each drilled hole and secured with a flat washer and nylock nut on the underside.
The manual does not specify vehicle compatibility. Contact the manufacturer at 877.287.8634 or consult your dealer to confirm fitment for your specific truck before purchasing.
You must purchase bolts, flat washers and nylock nuts separately (specifications not provided in manual). Required tools: drill with 1/4" bit, ratchet, socket set and tape measure. Contact the manufacturer for correct hardware specifications for your vehicle.
Yes. You must drill four 1/4" holes: two in the truck bed rail lip and two in the tool box base. Before drilling the truck bed, verify that drill locations do not intersect brake lines, fuel lines, electrical wires or fuel tanks. Seal all drilled holes to prevent corrosion.
Torque depends on bolt size: 1/4" SAE = 3 ft-lbs, 5/16" = 7 ft-lbs, 3/8" = 16 ft-lbs, 7/16" = 20 ft-lbs, 1/2" = 28 ft-lbs. For metric: M6 = 3 ft-lbs, M8 = 7 ft-lbs, M10 = 16 ft-lbs, M12 = 28 ft-lbs. Use hardware-provided specifications if they differ.
Do not store flammables, explosives, hazardous materials, gasoline, solvents, gunpowder, dynamite, propane tanks, acetylene tanks or cutting torches. Danger of explosion.
Before every trip, ensure all bolts, knobs, screws, straps and locks are firmly secured. Periodically re-tighten and inspect all mounting hardware for wear, corrosion and fatigue. Clean with mild automotive detergent only; do not use abrasive cleaners or wire brushes.
