UWS designs and builds heavy-duty truck tool boxes and storage for tradespeople and truck owners. The line covers crossover and side-mount boxes, chest boxes, underbody boxes, transfer tanks and dog boxes. Every aluminum box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, with construction aimed at job-site abuse, road vibration and daily use.
UWS is a leading manufacturer and designer of truck tool boxes and truck accessories, and a Lippert brand. The company's focus is narrow and deliberate: storage that stands up to being opened and slammed shut dozens of times a day, loaded past what looks reasonable, and left outdoors in whatever weather the job brings. Its customers are electricians, plumbers, contractors, farmers, outdoorsmen and truck owners who treat a pickup as a working tool rather than transport.
The catalog covers the full range of bed storage. Crossover boxes sit across the bed behind the cab in single-lid, gull-wing, secure-lock and low-profile styles, so there is a fit whether the priority is capacity, rear visibility or working under a tonneau. Side-mount boxes mount along the bed rails and keep the bed floor free for cargo, while underbody boxes tuck beneath the frame rails of service bodies and flatbeds.
Beyond the bed, UWS makes portable chest boxes that move between vehicles and the shop, transfer tanks and combination tank-and-toolbox units for crews working away from fuel supply, and insulated, ventilated dog boxes for hunters and handlers.
Manufacturing sits at the centre of the brand's identity. Every UWS aluminum tool box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, by tradespeople with decades of experience, and the company's Rooted in Trades initiative is built around that connection to skilled manual work. Boxes use heavy-gauge aluminum, continuous welds at the seams, weather stripping to seal against rain and dust, and locking systems intended to resist tampering. The practical result is storage that keeps tools dry, organized and where they were left.

The package includes one truck fender tool box and two keys. Hardware (bolts, flat washers and nylock nuts) is not included and must be purchased separately.
No. Do not use this product for storing or transporting flammables, explosives, hazardous materials or hazardous waste, including gasoline, solvents, gun powder, dynamite, propane tanks, acetylene tanks and cutting torches. Doing so creates a danger of explosion.
The manual does not specify a weight capacity. You must never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended capacity for your truck bed.
The manual does not specify which truck models or bed lengths are compatible. Before purchasing, contact the manufacturer at 877.287.8634 or consult your dealer to confirm fitment for your specific vehicle.
The paddle handle must clear the bed rail and the tool box lid must open properly. During installation, you will position the tool box on the bed and verify this. A custom shim may need to be placed under the tool box to allow the handle to be accessed.
The manual does not address compatibility with bed liners. Contact the manufacturer at 877.287.8634 to confirm whether the tool box can be mounted over a bed liner.
You will need a drill, drill bit set, ratchet, socket set and tape measure.
You must purchase bolts, flat washers and nylock nuts. The manual specifies torque values for M6, M8, M10 and M12 metric bolts, and 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16" and 1/2" SAE bolts. A minimum of one bolt and flat washer must be used through each drilled hole, secured with one flat washer and nylock nut on the underside. Consult the hardware manufacturer's torque specifications if they differ from the general guidelines provided.
A 1/4" drill bit is required. You will drill 1/4" holes in the tool box and in the truck bed rail and bed.
Yes. You must remove the bottom two drawers from the tool box before beginning installation. These drawers are re-installed after the tool box is mounted.
Yes. Before drilling into your truck bed, you must check under the vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut or obstruct any brake or fuel fluid lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks or other components. Precaution must be taken that all fasteners near the fuel tank do not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or other damage during a collision.
A minimum of four mounting points are required: two on the lip of the bed rail and two on the base of the tool box where the drawers have been removed. Each mounting point requires one bolt, two flat washers and one nylock nut.
1. Remove the bottom two drawers and place the tool box on the truck bed, ensuring the paddle handle clears the bed rail and the lid opens properly. 2. Locate and mark two mounting points on the bed rail lip and two on the tool box base. Drill 1/4" holes in the tool box. 3. Use the tool box holes to mark the truck bed and rail, then drill 1/4" holes in the truck. 4. Insert bolts and flat washers through the tool box holes and secure with flat washers and nylock nuts underneath. Tighten all hardware to the recommended torque specifications. 5. Re-install the bottom two drawer slides.
Yes. You must drill 1/4" holes in the tool box, the truck bed rail lip and the truck bed. The manual requires you to verify that drilling locations do not obstruct brake lines, fuel lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks or other components before drilling.
Yes. Installation requires drilling 1/4" holes in the truck bed rail and bed. These holes are permanent. You must treat or seal all fasteners and exposed metal in any holes drilled in the vehicle to prevent corrosion.
Torque specifications are: M6 bolt 3 ft-lbs., M8 bolt 7 ft-lbs., M10 bolt 16 ft-lbs., M12 bolt 28 ft-lbs. For SAE bolts: 1/4" bolt 3 ft-lbs., 5/16" bolt 7 ft-lbs., 3/8" bolt 16 ft-lbs., 7/16" bolt 20 ft-lbs., 1/2" bolt 28 ft-lbs. These are general guidelines. If purchasing hardware, use the torque specifications provided with that hardware.
Yes. This product can reduce the driver's ability to clearly see roadways, vehicular or pedestrian traffic and other objects through the rear and side windows of the vehicle, which may cause an accident. Extra precaution should be taken when driving a vehicle with this product.
No. The product must not interfere with factory-installed safety equipment. During installation, you must ensure that mounting locations do not obstruct brake lines, fuel lines, electrical wires or other factory components.
After installation, ensure all knobs, bolts, screws, straps and locks are firmly secured. Verify that the tool box is properly aligned and all mounting hardware is tight before your first trip.
For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Mild automotive detergent may be used to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or other similar products that may damage the finish. Periodically re-tighten and inspect all components for signs of wear, corrosion and fatigue. Ensure all knobs, bolts, screws, straps and locks are firmly secured before every trip.
The manual states that periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight, and that all knobs, bolts, screws, straps and locks should be firmly secured before every trip. A specific re-tightening interval is not provided. Contact the manufacturer at 877.287.8634 for guidance on recommended maintenance intervals.
