The package includes one truck side tool box, one key, and two legs. Hardware (bolts, washers, and lock nuts) is not included and must be purchased separately.
For 72" tool boxes, you must drill three holes through the tool box and bed rail to secure it to the truck bed. Smaller tool boxes require two holes.
Required tools are: drill, drill bit set, ratchet, socket set, tape measure, level, square, and marker. Proper tools will improve installation quality and reduce installation time.
Yes. Hardware is not included with the tool box. You must purchase your own bolts, washers, and lock nuts to install it.
Park the truck on level ground before beginning installation. The tool box must be level during installation to ensure proper fit and function.
Place the tool box on the bed rail with the handles and logo plate facing outward toward the side of the truck.
Insert a bolt and washer through each drilled hole from the top of the tool box. Secure it from underneath the bed rail with a washer and lock nut. Tighten all hardware firmly.
Place one leg on a corner of the tool box that is not resting on the bed rail. Use a square to ensure the leg is vertical and at the appropriate height so it rests on the truck bed. Mark two mounting locations, drill two holes through the leg and tool box corner, and secure with purchased hardware. Repeat on the other end of the tool box.
Before drilling, check under your vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut or obstruct any brake or fuel fluid lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks, or other components. Take precaution that all fasteners near the fuel tank do not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or other damage during a collision.
