Curt 14360 is designed for Ford F-150 models built after 8/5/2005. The manual does not specify which cab styles (Regular, SuperCab, SuperCrew) or bed lengths are compatible. Contact Curt Manufacturing or your dealer to confirm fitment for your specific F-150 model year and configuration.
The manual specifies gross load capacity when used as a weight-carrying hitch and when used as a weight-distribution hitch, but the capacity values are not filled in on this copy of the manual. You must not exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity. Contact Curt Manufacturing or your dealer for the specific capacity ratings for this hitch.
The hitch weight is listed in the manual but the value is not filled in on this copy. Contact Curt Manufacturing for the exact weight of part number 14360.
No. The manual explicitly states 'NO DRILLING REQUIRED' for this hitch installation on the Ford F-150.
The hitch includes: (4) 1/2-13 UNC Grade 8 serrated flange nuts (part 20-00062), (4) 1/2-13 UNC Grade 8 1-1/4" carriage bolts (part 10-10278), (2) 5/8-11 UNC Grade 8 1-1/2" hex cap screws (part 10-10038), (2) 5/8" flat washers (part 30-00131), and (2) 5/8-11 UNC Grade 8 serrated flange nuts (part 20-00105).
1) Raise the hitch into position between the frame rails. 2) Install the 5/8" fasteners into the bumper with loops as shown in the diagram. 3) Install the remaining 1/2" fasteners into each bumper bracket. 4) Torque all 5/8" fasteners to 210 lb-ft and all 1/2" fasteners to 110 lb-ft. If necessary, loosen the four bumper bolts for improved hitch alignment before installation.
All 5/8" fasteners must be torqued to 210 lb-ft.
All 1/2" fasteners must be torqued to 110 lb-ft.
The manual states that if necessary, you may loosen the four bumper bolts for improved hitch alignment. This is optional and depends on whether the hitch aligns properly with the frame rails during installation.
Periodically check the receiver hitch to ensure that all fasteners are tight and that all structural components are sound. The manual does not specify an exact interval; regular inspection before towing is recommended.
Do not exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity. The hitch has specific load ratings, but you must never tow beyond what your Ford F-150 is designed to handle.
