Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Yes, the 24950 hitch is designed for Audi A4 models from 2009 to current. Visit the Cequent website to confirm your specific model year and trim level, as application details may vary.
The 24950 is a weight-carrying hitch with a maximum gross trailer weight of 2000 lb. (908 kg) and maximum tongue weight of 200 lb. (90.8 kg). Do not exceed the lower of your vehicle manufacturer's towing rating or these limits.
Required tools include: ratchet, torque wrench, safety glasses, 3/4" and 10mm sockets, socket extensions, T25 Torx bit, Phillips screwdriver, utility knife, tape measure, marker, and silicone sealant. A professional installer is recommended if you are not comfortable performing the installation yourself.
Yes. You must remove the spare tire and, using a 10mm socket, remove the jack and tool kit from the trunk before installation. These items are reinstalled after the hitch is secured.
No, drilling is not required. However, you must trim the bumper fascia by cutting a notch approximately 3-1/4" wide by 3" deep in the lower part of the fascia, centered on the vehicle. Obtain the vehicle owner's permission before trimming.
The underbody panel must be temporarily removed if present on single-exhaust models. Using a 10mm socket, remove 3 hex nuts and 1 push-type rivet. The panel is reinstalled after the hitch is secured.
The main differences are: (1) 2009–2016 models use 3 T25 Torx screws to remove the bumper fascia; 2017–current models use 2 hex nuts with a 10mm socket. (2) The top plate bolt location varies by model year—see Figures 3 and 4 in the manual for the correct position for your model year.
Yes. Using a utility knife, carefully cut the caulking around the 2 rearmost drain plugs in the trunk pan. Remove the drain plugs and return them to the vehicle owner. After installation, seal the drain holes with silicone caulk from inside the trunk pan to prevent water and exhaust fume intrusion.
Tighten all 4-1/2" long Grade 5 carriage bolts to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N·M) using a torque wrench.
Tighten all 1-3/4" long Grade 5 carriage bolts to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N·M) using a torque wrench.
The Fastener Kit 24950F includes: (4) 1/2-13 × 4-1/2" Grade 5 carriage bolts, (2) top plates, (4) 1/2-13 Grade G hex flanged locknuts, (2) 1/2-13 × 1-3/4" Grade 5 carriage bolts, (2) spacer blocks (1/4" × 1.50 × 3.00), (2) 1/2" conical toothed washers, and (2) 1/2-13 Grade 5 hex nuts.
The conical toothed washers must be installed with the teeth side against the hitch. This is shown in the fastener diagram in the manual.
Install fasteners loosely first, then tighten in the specified order: (1) Tighten all 4-1/2" long Grade 5 carriage bolts to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N·M). (2) Tighten all 1-3/4" long Grade 5 carriage bolts to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N·M). Proper torque is essential to keep the hitch secure during towing.
If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. Do not apply your brakes and do not speed up.
No. Do not cut, weld, or modify the receiver. Doing so may compromise the structural integrity and safety of the hitch.
Check the hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
If present, temporarily move the hands-free trunk release cable from the fascia near the area to be trimmed. After installation, reinstall the cable between the hitch bracket and trunk pan.
No. The authorized drawbar kit 3593 is sold separately. The drawbar must be used in the RISE position only.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not continue to use a damaged hitch.
Yes. Always wear safety glasses when installing the hitch. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection.
