Open the vehicle trunk and remove all trunk floor coverings. Then remove the fasteners securing the rear scuff panel and pull out the scuff panel by pulling out on the bottom and then up. Take care not to damage the alignment tabs on the back.
First, remove the bolt from the cargo tie down on the driver side. Pull back the felt liner to locate the vehicle taillight wiring harness connectors. Separate the connectors from the taillight housing, taking care not to damage the locking tabs. Insert the custom wiring harness end with the yellow wire between the separated connectors, ensuring they are fully inserted with locking tabs in place. Repeat on the passenger side with the harness end with the green wire.
Drilling may be required for the ground connection. You should locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as an existing screw with nut in the vehicle frame. If no existing screw is available, drill a 3/32" pilot hole for the provided screw. The area should be free of rust, dirt and paint before securing the white ground wire using the ring terminal and provided screw.
